She was shocked to see Taimur and Riyadh at the door of their apartment, and the way Taimur shoved aside Mateo and entered like he owned the place was enough to boil her blood.

Taimur had not even spared her a glance when he had passed her and entered the living room, Mateo had followed after him in rage.

The way Taimur sat on the couch and spoke to Mateo like Mateo was a schoolboy had made Eva want to break the flower vase on his head.

Taimur was an arrogant asshole, and he never gave a fuck about other people. The way he had addressed himself as her ex-lover and was mentioning the words your wife now and again to Mateo was enough to humiliate her and make her want to have herself swallowed by the Earth.

She noticed Riyadh's discomfort when Taimur was addressing Mateo, she knew Riyadh had a very pleasant personality and he had always treated Eva with respect.

She was shocked to hear that Taimur had met Emma at the mall. She remembered that day very well, just a few days back.

Mateo and Emma had returned with loads of toys and chocolates, she had been very mad at Mateo for buying those, but they both had sworn that they were a gift from someone.

Eva had not believed either of them, she had thought they were lying to her, because who gave some child items worth thousands of dollars on their first meeting? She recalled Emma had mentioned that " Tim" had gifted her those and he was her new friend.

"Bloody unbelievable!! You are Taimur Al Jahaan" Mateo had exclaimed, he had finally identified Taimur.

Mateo was looking at Eva with regret in his eyes, she knew how mad he would be at her to have hidden this from him.

Eva was regretting hiding the truth about Emma's father from Mateo. She could recount the innumerable times he had asked her about it, but she had always avoided answering him. She never had imagined that fate would once again bring her and Taimur face to face in life.

Mateo had always been good to her, he had lived Emma like his own. Still, Eva had chosen to hide the identity of Emma's father from him. She could only imagine how much her actions could have hurt Mateo. If only she could go back in time and make it all correct but she was incapable of that.

The way Taimur was humiliating her and Mateo his hurt would only multiply tenfold. She was hating Taimur more than ever, he was out of revenge and Eva was afraid he was already succeeding in his plan. All she wanted to do was make Mateo realize that she only loved him and there was no place for Taimur in her life.

He kept looking at her for some time and then stormed outside the living room.

First Taimur and now Mateo, this day was turning out to be the worst in her life. Her daughter was kidnapped and she was helpless. To add to the misery the men in her life were making it even worse.

"Matt, listen to me, I can explain," Eva followed calling after him.

She gave a look of resentment to Taimur, he had started acting on his threat. He was back in her life again to make it a living hell.

"Matt listen to me please", she said as she entered the bedroom after him. Mateo slammed the door and kicked it.

" I can't believe it, how could you not tell me something like this", He said in shock.

"I know you love me baby, and I also know you still love him. And I don't know if I can handle this", He said resting his head on hers.

" It's just about Emma, Matt. Once we find her he will leave", She replied.

Eva hated herself for lying to him, he wanted to tell him that Taimur had threatened to take Emma from them, but she didn't want to add to his distress. She knew how much Mateo loved Emma and it won't be easy for him to come to terms with this.

"Will he Eva? He is Taimur Al Jahaan and he takes what he thinks is his. And Emma is his daughter, you think he will not want his daughter back?" Mateo asked.

"I can't live without her Matt, you can't let him take her", She said.

Eva suddenly felt she had drained all the energy, Mateo was right about Emma, Taimur had already threatened her that he was going to take her back.

" I will do everything to keep her with us, but first we have to find her and for that, we will need his help, no matter how much I hate that arrogant Prince there is no denying he is our only option", Mateo said as he stood up from the bed.

"Honey bring the photographs and videos of Emma, they are waiting for us in the living room", He said patting her cheek.

Mateo was right no matter how much Taimur was infuriating them, they needed him. He was the only ticket to find their daughter.
