She was having lunch with Emma, thinking about the legal notice Taimur had sent them, their lawyer Damien Reeves, had informed her and Mateo that the lawyer hired by Taimur was the best in the country, with a flawless record.

He had told them not to keep their hopes high as the case was complicated and the odds were in favor of Taimur.

Damien seemed a good man, he was in his late thirties and he was one of the best lawyers. He had made it clear that only a miracle would make the judgment go in their favor.

Damien had contacted with Taimur's lawyer Rachel for an out of court settlement, which she had declined saying that her client wanted to go for a trial.

They were left with no choice but to go for a trial, and Damien had told them that Taimur had requested a fast track procedure, which looking at the claims in his petition would not be difficult.

His lawyer had already filed a petition in court asking for the complete custodial rights of Emma. Sightings the reason for her security and the carelessness of Eva and Mateo, including the fact that Eva had hidden from Taimur the truth about being pregnant with his child.

Damien had said that these were serious accusations and that if things go as planned by Taimur, it would be nearly impossible for them to win the case.

Still, Eva didn't understand why he had agreed to take their case if he was sure the odds were against them.

This was going to be really tough, Taimur had so much evidence that Eva and Mateo had been careless towards Emma, and the fact that Eva had hidden her pregnancy from him will only make the matters worse.

She knew Taimur won't leave any stone unturned to get the custody of his daughter and to top it all, he wanted Eva along with Emma.

She was brought back to reality when the doorbell ranged. She looked at Emma who was now asleep on the couch beside her. She picked the unfinished bowl of macaroni from beside Emma and kept it in the kitchen, and walked and opened the door.

She was surprised to find Taimur standing at her door, he was the last person she was expecting right now.

" I wanted to take Emma with me", He said looking at her with his piercing gaze.

"She is sleeping", Emma said hoping her reply would make him turn and go back.

" I will wait", Taimur said as he moved her aside and entered the apartment closing and locking the door after him.

Eva was beyond furious at his gallantry, he acted like he owned the world and everyone was his slave, bound to obey whatever comes out of his mouth.

"Taimur, you just can't walk in my house like that", She said furiously, crossing her arms on her chest.

Taimur didn't say anything, he kept looking into her eyes, with a smug smirk on his face, which Eva felt like smacking from his face.

" And may I know, what you are gonna do about this?" He asked, with the smirk still plastered on his face.

"I will call security so that they can throw you out", She said, breaking the eye contact and looking at the wall above his shoulder.

Taimur closed the gap in between them, as he slid his arm around her waist and pulled her to him, raising havoc in her body.

" Go ahead", He said teasing.

Eva was desperately trying to control her racing heart, she couldn't believe the way her body was reacting to the proximity of him.

"Taimur let me go", She looked in his eyes and said defiantly.

She was in no mood to give in to the desires of her body, which had started to betray her within seconds in his arms.

" You know I won't", He replied stubbornly.

"I am married Taimur", She said as she tried to get out of his embrace.

Taimur tightened his grip around her, pulling her closer to himself. Eva tried harder to get out of his grip, but he was too strong, hard as a rock. And her struggle and pushes didn't budge him an inch.

" And so am I", He replied with a wink.

Eva wanted to slap him hard on his face, but she knew it will only awaken the devil, the best way was to not react, but it was impossible, her body was already melting.

"And still, you feel no shame in holding a woman in your arms, who is not your wife", She hissed.

Taimur gave out a chuckle, then he pinched her nose with affection.

" I love it when you go all feisty on me", He said infuriating her further.

" I had told the security to call me if he was there", Mateo replied.

Eva should have known, Mateo was not a fool, he had understood Taimur very well and was sure to do everything to keep him in check.

"He wants to take Emma out with him", She told him.

" If he as much tries to touch you, I will kill that fucker", Mateo said furiously.

"Matt calm down, he is just here for Emma", She lied to him.

Eva knew very well that he was not just here for Emma, Taimur had chosen to come at the time when Mateo was not going to be home.

" Where is he taking Emma?", Mateo asked.

"I didn't ask him, Emma is asleep I was going to wake her up to get her ready", She replied.

" Why did you let him come in if Emma was asleep?" He asked, his voice getting higher than before.

"Don't raise your voice at me, Matt, I am not your slave and as for him, I don't care what he does", She snapped.

" Eva, I just want you to be safe, that man can't be trusted, we are in the middle of a custodial battle", Mateo said softening her tone.

"I know how to handle him, I have done it before", She retorted, though she was convincing herself more than Mateo.

" Just, take care", He said and disconnected the call.

Eva turned around and bumped into Taimur who was standing behind her, he held her shoulders to save her from falling.

Eva pushed him away, and this time he didn't protest, he took a few steps backward and let her pass.

"Make yourself comfortable on the couch, I will wait for Emma to wake up", She said to him as she walked out of the living room.
