"Emma, would you like to go to the zoo or the park?" He asked Emma as he seated her on the passenger seat and fixed her seatbelt.

"Abi, I want to go to the zoo", She replied excitedly.

Taimur had picked her from Eva's apartment, Eva was very distant and cold with him while he was waiting for Emma.

He had wanted to speak to Eva, to convince her to stop being stubborn and think what was best for Emma, but she didn't give him the chance.

Eva had just opened the door for him and walked back into Emma's room, while he was waiting in the living room. He thought of going after her, but he felt it was inappropriate, he needed to be careful enough to not offend Eva. He knew she was stubborn and if she got furious, he will lose all chances with her.

"Abi, mommy told you are going home, when will you come back? You promised you will take me and mommy with you", Emma asked looking at him.

Taimur felt guilty, he shouldn't have promised something like that to Emma, the custodial proceedings were bound to take nearly a year to complete and he was now wondering, how he was going to deal with Emma in this time?

"Baby, actually there is something Abi has to take care of, and your school is still going on. You don't want to miss your school, do you?" He tried diverting her mind.

"No, but I really want to go to our castle with you", She replied stubbornly.

Like mother like daughter, Taimur thought with amusement, though she had his features, Emma was as stubborn as Eva.

"I promise I will take you with me when your school finishes", He replied cooing.

" Aren't there any schools where you live?" She asked looking at him with suspicion.

"There is baby, but you need to finish your term before you apply for admission to the school in Azmaayir", He replied stroking her hairs.

Emma didn't say anything further, she sat there quietly thinking about something, Taimur wondered what her little mind must be thinking right now. He thought of asking her but thought it better to give her space.

He didn't want to leave her alone here, while he was in Azmaayir. But he couldn't take her along, the court had not yet decided any temporary arrangement while the custodial proceeding was going on, and he had to settle for appointing guards for her security.

He was torn between the two women in his life, he couldn't dream of parting with Alia, and he wanted Eva more than ever. If Eva just stops being so stubborn, even Alia had given her consent to marry Eva before she went to Azmaayir.

He had decided to come clean about his relationship with Eva and the existence of Emma to the Azmaayiri, hiding the truth was only going to do damage in the long run.

He was hopeful the people will forgive him, they are grieving about how the members of the Royal Council had deceived them. And if they found out from some other source about Emma, they will hate Taimur. So, the best option was to hold a press conference and make a confession, hoping they will forgive him.

He and Emma spent the whole day roaming the zoo, he was so happy he brought her here. The excitement on her face when she saw the animals and the birds were beyond description.

" Abi, look at that Gorilla, she looks like our neighbor Mrs. Thompson", Emma said giggling and pointing towards a gorilla.

Taimur was not able to control his laughter at her words when he finally controlled himself he told Emma that it was not appropriate to make fun of other people.

But he was not sure if his words had any effect on her, because when they passed the enclosure of Raccoons, she started laughing saying they looked like her classmate Aron.

She looked so adorable that Taimur couldn't suppress his smile, he realized she was strong-headed and didn't really care about what anyone said.

"Abi, can we go to the park?" Emma asked as they exited the zoo.

Only six hours were left for his flight and he had to drop Emma and then head to the airport if it had been any other time, he definitely would have taken her to the park but right now he was short of time.

"Princess, I will take you to the park next time I promise", He said trying to convince her.

" Abi, please", She said tugging his arm.

"Emma, sweety, I promise I will take you next time, I have to catch a flight sweetheart", He said picking her up in his arms.

He was finding it difficult to decline her request, but he couldn't right now, he was bound to be in Azmaayir by tomorrow at all costs.

" What do you say, I buy you ice cream and chocolate?" He said tickling her.

Emma got excited hearing about ice cream, he bought her chocolates and ice cream and headed towards Eva's apartment, when they reached the building he parked in the basement, and went to the elevator.

He came out of the trance as a tear rolled out of her eyes onto her cheek. He loosened his grip on her arm and pulled her to him and wrapped his arm around her.

" I am sorry, I am so sorry baby. Please don't push me to the edge, you don't have any idea, what I am going through", He said as stroked her hairs.

Eva didn't resist, she rested her head on his chest and inhaled in his scent. He wanted to stay like this forever with her in his arms.

"I love you, Eva, I love you so much that it hurts," He said as he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"Taimur, please just forget me", Eva said lifting her head and cupping his face in her hands.

" Baby, I can't, the thought of losing you again, kills me", He replied with helplessness.

Why didn't she understand what he was going through, how difficult was it for him to see her with someone else? He knew he had fucked up when he let her go, but he wanted her back.

"Taimur, I am not yours", She said.

" But you can be, you just need to say the word and I will do the rest", He said pressing her harder into his chest.

"You know I won't", She replied sighing.

He was losing his patience, he was used to getting what he wanted, he never had to try so hard for anything in his life before.

" Why, do you resist your feelings for me?" He asked taking a deep breath.

"I don't, because I don't have any feelings for you", She said in a firm voice as she pulled out of his arms.

" I think you should leave, my husband will be back and I don't think he will like your presence here", She said in a cold tone.

Taimur looked at her with resentment and left the apartment.
