I arrived at the Social Club with Edward and Enzo. The guys had reserved a room there and they’d gone all out – they’d set up a room with a pool table, poker table, and arcade games, leather sofas scattered around, and a 1950s–style bar stocked with every kind of drink. This was going to be fun and relaxing.
“So, ready for your last bachelor party
patrick asked as soon as Larrived.
“I thought this day would never come.” Alexander approached and handed me a glass.
Only then did I notice they were all wearing the same t–shirt – a black one with a cartoon of me being dragged by a rope tied to my foot by a cartoon of Sam, with “game over” written below. These guys were acting like kindergarteners.
As if the t–shirts weren’t enough, they had prepared several activities, and they all involved lots of alcohol. I probably wouldn’t remember my own name the next day.
I was already slightly drunk when I saw Flavian answer a call and slip out of the room. When he came back, he pulled Patrick aside and whispered something. It was strange that he’d step out to take a phone call. Flavian had been dealing with a problem he couldn’t solve for a while now, but we all knew he only pretended around the girls, so that couldn’t be the reason for the call he received. Then I remembered something Sam had asked me a few days ago, and I’d forgotten to warn him – I should do it before I forgot again. I was thinking about this when he and Patrick approached.
“Guys, I need to tell you something, but don’t worry – the situation is under control,” Flavian began, and I immediately tensed
“Are the girls okay, Flavian?” I asked, startled.
“They are. But Sam received an unwelcome surprise. My team already went there and took care of everything. The girls don’t want their party ruined because of this.” Flavian was talking but not explaining what had happened, and I was getting restless.
“Just tell me, Flavian, what happened now?” I asked, almost pleading.
“Someone sent Sam a gift box with a venomous snake inside, Nobody got hurt, nobody was bitten, no one was injured. They were just scared. But as I said, it’s been taken care of.” Flavian explained calmly and deliberately.
“I’m going there, I need to see Sam,” I said and stood up.
“No, you’re not.” Patrick stood in front of me. “Flavian has handled everything. The girls want to enjoy their night, and you’re not going to be the killjoy who ruins the fun.”
“But, Patrick…” I grumbled.
“No buts. She’s at your sister’s house, surrounded by security. It was an unfortunate incident that’s been dealt with.” Patrick was firm, and he was right – it wasn’t fair to ruin her fun.
“Alright, you’re right.” I let them get distracted and decided to leave the room to call Sam. I needed to hear from her that she was okay.
I left the room and walked toward the nearby bathroom, but was intercepted in the hallway by that pest Isabella. This woman just couldn’t take a hint that she was wasting her time.
“Hi, sweetie!” Isabella stopped in front of me and spoke in a seductive tone.
“Isabella, I’ve already told you to forget about me!” I tried to dodge her, but she wouldn’t let me. “Get out of my way, Isabella.”
“Oh, Henry, you’re going to deeply regret treating me like this.” She spoke with complete confidence. “I give it two weeks before you come running to my arms for comfort.”
“What are you talking about, you crazy woman?”

“Leave me?” I had to laugh. I knew Sam loved me and wouldn’t leave me. “Don’t delude yourself, Isabella. Samantha and I love each other, and we’re getting married next week.”
“That’s what you think, but it’s not what’s going to happen.”
“My God, are you delirious? Look, Isabella, go live your life, find someone who can stand you, and forget about me!”
“I can’t, because I’m yours, sweetie. And you’re mine. Your wedding won’t happen.” Her eyes gleamed with malice; she was absolutely certain of what she was saying, and suddenly, I understood what she was implying.
I stared at Isabella in shock. She had a cold smile and her eyes were fixed on me. It wasn’t possible that now, besides worrying about that creep Romulus, I would also have to worry about that pest Isabella. I turned my back on her and walked quickly toward the room where my friends were gathered.
“Flavian,” I called as soon as I entered the room.
“What’s up, groom–to–be!” Flavian smiled in
