CHAPTER 12

RUN

NARRATOR'S POV

Lindy was inside her room, studying for her physics exam but she kept glancing and checking at her phone. Harry hasn't texted her since their last conversation since a while ago, of course he was busy with the concert that she didn't know about and had already fallen asleep in his hotel room after the concert. She went down to the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee to keep her awake at night. She noticed Ted and Avery were at the living room, kissing while the TV was on. Lindy quickly went back to her room and locked her door.

"Hormones raging." Lindy mumbled.

She sat back down on her chair and placed her cup of coffee down. Lindy glanced her watch and it was already eleven in the evening.

"I wonder what happened to him."

Lindy ignored her thoughts about Harry who is currently sleeping to wake up early the next day for another flight. She grabbed her book again and continued reading her notes for her exam the next day but she kept glancing at her phone, still waiting for a text. She finally grabbed it but there was no text message from him. She stood up and went over her laptop.

"Time difference between Canada and Barcelona." she said out loud while typing on Google.

Finally, results pops out and she started opening websites of it.

"So Barcelona is 6 hours ahead from here." She mumbled then turning her head to her clock. "It's almost twelve midnight, so probably it's already almost 6AM there." she mutters.

She picked up her phone beside her laptop and started typing a message for him. She remembered that Harry wanted her to text him first and that it was okay and it didn't matter if it seemed flirting or not so she wanted to keep it casual.

Buenos días to you English boy in Barcelona. -Lindy

She lay herself to bed and placed her phone on top of her stomach. She stares at the white ceiling of her room and waited for a reply. She had no idea why she has been waiting for his text but she knows she wants to. She kept picking it up from minute to minute to check if he replied but he didn't. She lost all hope and decided not to wait anymore.

After a few minutes, when she was about to fall asleep after studying her notes, she felt her phone vibrating. She hurriedly picked it up.

I bet you googled that. Haha. Just woke up babe. -Harold

Lindy smiled.

As she was typing, Harry suddenly called her. She quickly answered with no hesitation.

"Hello?" she answered softly.

"Good morning beautiful." Harry speaks with his just woke up voice that she loved.

"Oh God, his voice when he wakes up is freaking sexy. He sounded sleepy but it's raspy and deep." She thought.

He sat down on the bed while rubbing his eyes, with nothing on him but the hotel's white thick duvet.

"You're actually right, it's morning here in Canada right now." Lindy answered.

Harry grabbed his watch from the drawer beside his bed and stared at it.

"What time is it there now?" he asked.

"Just turned midnight."

"Shouldn't you be sleeping?"

"Concerned?" she teased.

Harry grinned a sleepy smile and chuckled deeply. "I am, yes. Or maybe you were waiting for me to message you didn't you?" He smirks mischievously.

"I was about to sleep but then I thought maybe I could text you."

"You waited for me to reply." He speaks with a smile on his face while getting off the bed after hearing a doorbell.

She blushed.

"You'll be too lucky if I waited for your reply." She lied.

Harry walked to the restroom to get his robe before placing it around himself while holding his phone in between his shoulder and ear. "How'd you know it was morning here in Barcelona?"

"Well--"

"Awwwe, you really took some time to Google, huh? Sweet." Harry said while walking out of his restroom and headed to the front door.

Harry stared at Louis standing in front of him all dressed up while he was still naked under his bathrobe. He knew he had overslept.

"Harold did you just wake up?" Louis asked while staring at him from head to foot.

"Yeah. I did." Harry answered.

"Hello?" Lindy called out.

"Hang in there for a sec, I'm talking to a friend." Harry answered to Lindy.

Harry turned his head to Louis who warns him, "Well you better hurry up mate. We still need a plane to catch in two hours."

"Shit. Alright. I'll be done in a minute or two, maybe three." Harry blurted.

"Just hurry up. We'll see you at the lobby." Louis said while walking away.

"Yeah." Harry said while closing the door and rushed his way to the restroom. "Babe, I'll call you back alright? I'm really in a hurry right now." Harry said.

"Okay."

"You need to go to sleep too or you'll be late for class."

"Alright."

"Later baby."

"Yeah, later Harold."

Harry hang up and hurriedly took his shower while Lindy finally went to sleep in her bed.

Later that day, Harry and the other lads were already on the plane on their way back to London.

Got back in London babe. Just landed :) -Harold

Hours passed, in Canada, Lindy was just woke up and sat down on her bed as she smiles at Button who is barking at her. She stretched her arms out and moved her eyes to the clock. "Holy shit it's already 7AM! I'm freaking late!" Lindy exclaimed out loud and grabbed her towel and ran to the restroom.

After a five-minute shower, she ran back to her room and grabbed any clothes she could and placed it on her. She grabbed her bag and phone then ran downstairs.

"Lindy? Did you just wake up?" her mother called out to her from the kitchen.

"Avery said she didn't wake you up because you weren't feeling good." his father added while putting the newspaper down on the table.

Lindy groans, "What a wonderful sister indeed." She muttered to herself.

"Are you okay honey?"

"I'm fine mom." Lindy answered.

Lindy brushed her teeth quickly without having breakfast before she kissed her parents goodbye and ran out of their house.

"Fuck I'm so gonna be late. I hate you Avery." Lindy muttered.

I bit my lip to stop myself from smiling. But I couldn't help it. Finally, we reached outside my classroom and we stood there along the doorway with all the eyes staring at me and Jake.

"Miss Swanepoel, you're late." Miss Sullivan said out loud.

"Mrs. Sull-"

"Mrs. Sullivan, Lindy here passed out a while ago along the stairway and I brought her to the clinic." Jake speaks with formality while cutting me off.

I glanced at my classmates whose jaws were dropped and started murmuring at each other. Mostly the girls started snubbing at me and I can tell they hates what they're seeing and what they heard. Yeah, be jealous bitches. Jake carried me on his arms to the school clinic. Mrs. Sullivan walked towards us while I handed her the permit which was given to me by the nurse a while ago.

"Very well then, go take your seat now Miss Lindy." She instructed.

"Yes Mrs. Sullivan."

Jake handed me my books so I accepted as I stared back at him while he smiled at me. "Take care of yourself." He says while walking away.

I watch him walking away to the other side of the hallway and he looked so muscular and lean.

"Miss Swanepoel I said take your seat!" Mrs. Sullivan exclaimed from behind me that made me lift my shoulders.

I hurriedly walked to my seat and placed my books on top of my table. She continued discussing and I could hear the other girls backbiting me. Whatever jealous bitches!

Finally, it was lunchtime and I headed to the cafeteria to meet up with Martha. I sat down beside her while she gave me a quick hug and started eating the foods on her tray.

"Soooo, I heard about it." Martha blurted.

I turned my head to her while seeing her grinning at me.

"About what?" I asked her.

"Well this little bird told me Jacob Timothy Ashton became your knight in shining armor this morning and brought you to the clinic and he even walked you back to your room. How true?" she asked, smirking intriguingly.

"Did you really have to say his full name?" I asked sarcastically with a smile.

"I just love saying his full name because it's like tongue twister. So tell me what happened."

I turned my head back to my food and continued eating. "It is true."

"Oh my god! Oh my god! Tell me more! Details c'mon!" she encourages.

I smiled at her. "There's no details, ok? What we did was what you said."

"You're the talk of the campus, Lindy! Did you know that? We all know Jake doesn't give a fuck about anybody here, he's always the cold shoulder. And yet, he was nice to you. He helped you! Awwwe, so lucky." she teases me after sipping her juice.

I smiled at that thought.

Well, Jake is Ted's best buddy here in school. And Martha was right about how she described Jake. He's the kind of guy who doesn't really care about the people around him. There was even one time where he crossed path with a girl and she was so busy trying to get his attention that made her fall off the stairs. And guess what? Jake didn't help her. He just walked away and well the girl obviously broke her leg. Now, I know you get the picture how he was known cold shoulder.

I guess that's why him helping me was a big deal today. It's not like he doesn't talk much, he his a talker to his friends but when it comes to other people far from his circle? He sees them like the air, like he can't see them. He is kind of mysterious and I think that's what makes him sexy.

I've had a crush on him since I was a sophomore. I met him when Ted's friends came over the house one night to sleep over since our parents weren't around the town that time. He was this handsome white boy with beautiful blue eyes. He was tall and his body is to die for I tell you! Plus, he plays football as well. He was suppose to be the team captain for this year's team, but he declined it so Ted is now the one running the team.

Yeah, Ted's good looking too but he's a dick. He's a big bully. He bullies every younger kids around this school. He thinks so big of himself when he even suck at football, not as good as Jake!

Suddenly I feel like my phone is vibrating on my pocket. As I pulled it out, I saw messages coming from Harold. Oh, I suddenly forgot about this guy because I was so busy thinking about Jake.

Care to text? I miss my sexy tigress :( -Harold

Seriously, one text from this guy makes me smile and I don't even know why. I don't even know him and I haven't seen him either yet he makes me feel like this.
