CHAPTER 23
CRAZY OVER YOU
HARRY'S POV
Lindy and I started watching movie on Netflix and even though she was focused on the movie, I was more focused on her. It was not something that I can do everyday so I needed to make most of my time with her as much as I can. I wanted to stare at her as much as I could before I leave again.
Knock knock knock
Lindy groans inwardly as she pressed her face against the pillow before pulling it back up, “Can’t this night be at peace please?” She whispers.
I smile at her as I run my forefinger against her jawline, “It’s okay baby.”
"Honey?" The two of us moved our heads towards her door and I’m sure it was her mom.
Lindy travelled her head back to my direction, “It's my mom." she whispers.
"Sounded like it."
Her mom knocks again, "Honey we brought tacos and poutines."
My eyes widened when I heard tacos because I am a huge fan of tacos, nachos and some dressing, oh God and cheese. I feel like I am salivating and I'm sure I heard it right but I didn’t quite get what the other one was.
"Did your mom just say tacos?" I asked.
She nodded.
"Lindy?" her mother called out again.
Lindy looks back at me, “Should I act as if I am asleep and not answer her?”
I shake my head vigorously, “I want to eat the tacos. I love tacos.”
She sighs heavily and we flinched together when her mom starts twisting the locked doorknob before she knocks again, “Lindy? Are you there?”
"Yeah mom!" Lindy answered.
"I love tacos." I say again.
Her mom continues to talk behind the door as Lindy asks, "But we just had pizza, you want to eat again?”
I nod, “Is that so wrong? I have some space left in here.” I rubbed my tummy which makes her smile. “And we still have some coke left. Please? It has been a while since I haven’t had tacos."
She chuckles softly and responded, "I thought famous celebrities can have whatever they want? Where did the VIP treatment went to?”
I rolled my eyes at her, “I hate when people think like that. Come on now, don’t let your mother wait baby.”
“Okay. Okay.” Lindy say whisperingly before get off her bed.
“And what's poutines?" I asked.
"It's fried French fries with cheese curd and gravy on top." She answers.
"Lindy are you talking to someone?” Lindy turns her head to her door. “Open the door now!" her mother yelled while knocking on the door continuously like she was going to break it.
"Hide behind the door." She instructs me while pointing.
I saluted, “Yes ma’am.” I scurried behind her door which was thankful higher than me so I didn’t worry about slouching behind it.
"I'm on the phone talking to Martha, mom! Just a sec!" Lindy yelled back while watching me standing here trying to save myself from being caught.
Aside from hiding from fans, I have never ever hid inside another woman’s room before because her mother was calling out to her. I just hope her mom won’t barge in here or else both Lindy and I are going to be caught so bad. Lindy reaches for the knob as I stood close to the wall feeling a little bit nervous and praying that we won’t get caught. She opens it and greeted her mother with a smile as I sneaked on the little opening hole from the door that was beside me. I stared at her mom, she had brown hair like Lindy and she was wearing glasses like her too. She looked like she could be in her 40s and looked really lovely in her white dress.
"Are you hiding something young lady?" her mother asked.
"What? No mom." Lindy’s eyes widened before she smiled and looked around behind her. “What would I be hiding in here?”
Her mom hums softly under her throat, "I know when you're lying to me."
"I'm not lying mom. Can I have some tacos and poutines? I'm craving for some."
"It's in the kitchen."
"Alright. I'll be down in a minute." Lindy closed the door while flashing her sweet smile then exhaled deeply as soon as the door was closed.
I stared at her and she looked adorable looking all tensed.
"That was close." She commented.
I smiled.
"I'll get some tacos and poutines for you. Please just stay here." She tells me firmly.
"I won't go anywhere babe."
She opened the door and went out silently. I walked back to her bed and sat down over her mattress as I look around her entire room. It was neat and organized and smelled really good. I see some picture frames on her study table which got me curious. I stand again and walked towards it to see what could be in these little frames. I bent down and stared at it one by one and it was mostly pictures of her when she was a whole lot younger. She looked so cute when she was a little girl and had full fringe on with chubby cheeks and an angelic smile that matches well with her playful gray eyes. Lindy had a lot of pictures with her parents in here as she was growing up and it makes me wonder if these photos were memorable for her and for her parents.
"I didn't know she was plump." I muttered to myself with a smile.
I stared at the other one when she was already a teenager but still much younger than she is now. She had a shorter hair and wore braces during her early teen but still rocked the short hair. Lindy has always been really simple ever since and this candid photo of her riding on bike is absolutely plain beauty.
My kind of woman.
I saw her notebooks on her table and since she’s taking so long downstairs, I decided to check them. I opened each notebook and saw a lot of notes written neatly and in detail. She's a very eager in her studies and there were scribbles and doodles that she made in the corners of the page in her notebook. I bet she was bored during her class when she did this because I used to do the same thing when I was younger.
One caught my attention, she doodled my name and a quote under it saying,
"He was unexpected. I truly did not expect him or his effect on me, my heart, my mind, my feelings.
He was the calming sound of the light, pitter-patter of drizzle on an April Sunday morning in my brutal, destructive hurricane."
I smiled at myself.
“I didn’t you were an aspiring Shakespeare.” I say to myself as I stare at her quote.
I looked for a pen and decided to write down on her notebook. I turned to the last page of her notebook and wrote something for her, something a little personal which I hope that she will like. As soon as I heard her coming back, I placed her notebook again to her table, fixed everything as if it was untouched and hurried back on her bed to sit down. I sat at the same time the door opened as Lindy hurriedly stepped inside locking the door.
“I seriously can’t stop my heart from beating so fast.” She tells me.
I chuckle, “You could pass as an agent.”
“Oh trust me, I need to work on my lying skills.” She tells me.
I smiled at her while she walked towards me bringing me the foods. She handed me the tacos and I started eating right away. The dressing was a masterpiece and how delicious this one is. Lindy continued playing the movie we were watching while I was busy eating. I turned my head towards her and stared at her eagerly in awe while she was setting her eyes on the screen of her laptop and laughed along this comedy film we're watching.
"I love the way you laugh." I couldn’t help but say.
She turned her head to me and stared at me with squinted eyes.
"What?" I asked.
"You are aware that you really are good in dealing with women, huh?" she asks me.
I smiled at her and I don’t know why she is saying that but as a matter of fact I am skillful in handling women. Hence people call me a womanizer because all women who are with me are called as my girlfriend and it gets kind of annoying sometimes when people have that image of me. Then again, in this industry being friendly to another turns to flirting in just a very quick second.
"I’m just telling you the fact babe. It’s not because I am good in dealing women or not.” I answer with a tightlipped smile. “Anyways, you want some tacos? Want me to feed you?"
"No thanks. I’m stuffed from the pizza."
I grabbed this food she called poutines, "It's really really good.” She informs me and I believe her instantly. “It's a popular Canadian dish. It's way better than tacos."
I took some from it and started placing them on my mouth feeling the cheese curds and gravy melt into my mouth alongside the fries. I am usually not the kind of person to try out foods which are unfamiliar to me because I get stomach problem way too easily and I just hope that this food wont give me any problem later because it is really delicious.
"Soooo, how was it?" She asks, interested and eager to know the answer.
“This is indeed really tasty.” I tell her as I shove more into my mouth.
She smiles, "Told you."
"You love comedy films do you?" I asked while putting another fries on my mouth.
She nodded before turning her head back to me and asked. "Dont you? It gives me good vibes when I feel down.”
"Comedy movies are good. But romantic flicks are the best."
Lindy laughs, “I didn’t know you were into that.”
“I love sappy romantic films.”
“Doesn’t it bore you?”
“Not really, no.”
I have been to dates a lot of times before and they are usually in a fancy and romantic restaurant having the most expensive foods in the menu and having problems thinking about how to deceive the paps who will tail us after we leave the restaurant. But this date was highly different from the entire dates I have ever had in my entire life and even though we aren’t eating the fanciest food ever, I was contented and really happy to being able to share this night with Lindy and finally getting to know her and talk to her and touch her. I am not complaining because I had her here with me. Aside from worrying about the paps, I had to be careful not to be seen by her parents and her sister who is super obsessed with me as what she has told me earlier and I had to find a way to get out from here. Despite the fact that this was not the kind of date I had in mind, my heart is still in bliss.
After watching the movie, we walked back outside her balcony to talk more. I didn’t want to leave yet because it still was not enough for me. I was sitting down across her while she was staring at the peaceful night sky. Lindy was the real epitome of beauty and that was hard to explain to her because I know she would not believe me and she would just tell me that I am good in dealing with ladies. She is very plain and I loved her like that. I couldn’t ask for more from her and I didn’t want to change her because she was far more of a better person than all those other women I have met who are only after me because of my fame. She doesn't have to try to catch my attention because she caught all of me unexpectedly.
"I love the stars at night." she speaks.
I love this girl. I thought to myself.
Lindy looks back at me, “Don’t you?”
Her eyes, glued on mine, “I love your eyes more.”
She chuckles sheepishly and I know she gets flustered when I compliment her and I love watching her getting affected by my words.
“I’m serious.” I added.
