CHAPTER 80
FAR
HARRY’S POV
I quickly pulled my head up when I heard her name and I see her standing along the entrance of the hotel’s restaurant as she was staring at me. I can see tears forming behind her eyelids and how she got hurt for seeing the same woman she has seen me kissing from last night.
"Lindy." I muffled.
I see her running away from us and I quickly pulled myself up from the chair as I tried to chase her, I wanted to talk to her. I wanted to explain that it does not what it looked like. I wanted hold her. I wanted to wipe her tears that I've caused for all of these mess I involved her in. I wanted to tell her how sorry I was and how a bastard I've been for letting her slip away from me.
I see her running to the elevator but I pulled her wrist back before she could press the button.
"Lindy wait up please." I called out right away.
She rapidly pulled her arm back and stared at me with tears in her eyes. "You're an asshole."
“Lindy please give me a chance to explain.” I tell her.
Lindy shakes her head firmly, “Everytime I think of letting you in, something just messes it up. I thought I was ready to hear you out and everytime I reach out to you, you do things that make me want to stop even trying things with you.”
“I am begging you.” I pleaded. “You need to--”
"Baby who is she?" I moved my head to my side when I was cut off by Georgia who is now standing beside me. She quickly wraps her arms around my body like a leech and leans her head to my shoulder.
“What the fuck, Georgia--”
Lindy fakes a laugh as I turn my attention back to her. "You make a beautiful couple.” Lindy stared at me and I know behind those eyes is pain. Her eyes tells me how much sorrow I've put her through and it breaks me apart. How could I ever hurt the girl I love the most in the world?
“I know.” Georgia smiles at Lindy.
"Georgia will you just back--"
“Baby, were you going up to our room?” Georgia cuts me off again. “Because I think I left something there last night."
“What?” I exclamed since she was not making any sense.
The elevator door opens and Lindy steps inside quickly without saying anything.
"Lindy wait! Let me go with you. Please." I begged.
Her eyes gazes at me with so much full of hatred and anger. "Stay away from me Harry."
I watch as the elevator door closes before me as Georgia finally releases my arm. "What the fuck were you doing?" I blurted out angrily.
She smiles at me. "I'm paid to act, Harry. You're welcome."
“You have got to ruin everything and make it so much worse than it actually is.” I tell her.
Georgia shrugs me off and leaves me alone getting all pissed that she even had to be here.
I decided to ask Zayn about Lindy’s hote rool and as soon as I got from him, I went up there and had all the courage to talk to her. I knocked on the door multiples but no one was opening it. I kept knocking on and on hoping that she would open it.
“Lindy please.” I called out.
I knocked again, “I am begging you to please talk to me.”
I leaned my forehead against the door as I continued but no one was opening it. “Please….What you think about Georgia and I are not true. Baby talk to me.” She didn’t open the door.
Around nine in the evening, I was with Josh again and I didn’t want to be with the lads because they have been pesering me all day to talk to her. I tried to talk to her when I waited outside her hotel room but she chose not to talk to me. She never went out to talk to me and I guess she is jsut absolutely fed up now.
I wanted to drink and get awfully drunk until I forget this pain and I feel numb. I wanted to drain out all the pain inside me that I have been feeling the moment I released that statement about denying her. I want to talk to her and persuade her to take me back but everytime I try to reach out to her, everything gets in the way. Life keeps getting in the way and it sucks because no matter how hard I try to fix this mess between us, it just becomes worst.
I have done so many things to hurt her and I don’t know if she will still believe anything I say.
Will she still trust me after everything that has been going on?
"Harry.” Josh calls out.
I stare at him as he continued, “You do know you can’t her slip away this time.”
“What are you talking about?” I asked.
“You know who I am talking about.”
I looked away from him as I take the shot glass from the table. "I need more." I groaned.
"What? More?" he asked.
I nodded. “Pour me some more.”
Josh started pouring whiskey over the three shot glasses which were one the table. I took one after the other as I groaned when the liquor ran down burning my entire throat. I coughed.
“We both know alcohol is not the best solution.” Josh tells me. “Go talk to her.”
I paused and moved my head to him. "You tell me that too?"
"Yes.” He answers as a matter-of-factly. “So stop being a fucking dick and a fucking coward. Chase her and prevent her from leaving Glendale. You guys need to talk.” His words hit me more than the strong whiskey.
“I don’t know if she still wants to listen to me.”
“Dont stop just because she declined you once. The woman is hurt and felt betrayed. Of course it’s normal for her to get mad at you and not talk to you. Keep pursuing her until she puts her walls down for you.”
I groan as I stare at the table. “I really messed up Josh.”
“I know you love her truly and madly. I have seen the worst part of you and we didn’t like that kind of Harry. Gloomy. Moody. Always on the edge with everything. And always wanted to be alone.” He narrates how I have been acting lately.
I remained silent.
“What are you so afraid of?” He asks me.
“Threats from the management. They’d be blacklisting Lindy from all universities. They’re willing to ruin her future and her education. They threatened me about the band.”
“Deal with all that shit later, H.” Josh cheers me on. “Go against the management. That’s the only way. Whether the band will be at risk or not, your fans will always be there to support you no matter what.”
“But the endorsements and promotions.”
“You can always have something else in replace to those who will backout. You’re in One Direction, the biggest boyband in the world. We will support you Harry. You don’t have to let the management manipulate you and stop you from getting your happiness.”
I stand up, “You’re fucking right.”
“Get out there and chase her.”
I thanked Josh who pep talked me and motivated me to chase her because these guys were all telling me the same thing. They are all telling me to chase Lindy and chase the woman that always has been making me happy. I need to man up and fix this mess even if it seems unfixable. I rushed out of the bar, tipsy, and hailed a cab and rushed my way to the hotel to stop her.
I hope she is still in the hotel.
The second I reached the hotel, I called up Zayn to ask if he was with Lindy. But he wasn't picking up his phone. I rushed my way to the information desk while my phone was still on my ear, trying to call the others. Shit, it was still ringing. Where the hell are these people right now?
“Good evening sir.” The woman smiles.
"Hi. Can you look up a name for me? It's Lindy or Lindsay Swanepoel." I tell the staff.
She tells me to wait for a second as she start looking up on the computer if there was a name. I tried calling up Liam and he is not answering.
"Ah, yes Mr. Styles.” I pulled my head up as soon as the woman calls out my name.
“Brilliant.”
“Lindy Swanepoel. Room 1879." She smiles.
“Thank you.”
As I was about to leave she calls out again, "But she checked out just a while ago sir.”
"Fuck." I thought as I groan inwardly. “Thanks." I told her as I ran out of the hotel.
I was mobbed right away by fans the second I reached outside the hotel and the paparazzi were starting to arrive. It was so hard to get away because the people were crowding around me and I had no bodyguards with me. The fans were dying to geta picture but I had no time left. I hurriedly hailed a taxi cab again and told the driver to head to the airport.
"Hello?" Louis answered.
Thank god someone has answered my calls!
"Finally someone answered!” I exclaimed in the taxi cab.
“Why? What’s up? You sound like you’re in a rush.”
“I am in a rush. Where are you?" I asked.
"At the airport. Why?" he asked.
"I'm on my way. Has Lindy left?"
"Not yet. But you better hurry up. Her flight is minutes from now and there are fans crowding us."
"Shit."
"Don't worry I'll tell Paul to watch out for you when you reach the entrance of the airport." He tells me kindly.
"Alright. Thanks man."
I hang up and stared outside the window as I ran my fingers through my hair, nervously thinking if I would still be able to stop her from leavng. Despite the alcohol I have consumed earlier, the adrenaline rush was pumping and it’s draining out all the whooziness I am feeling. I wasn't that drunk anymore but I can still smell the stint of liquor in me yet I know what I had to do.
"Are you Harry Styles?"
I moved my head to the driver who was staring back at me on the rear view mirror. “Yes, I am.”
