CHAPTER 81

ENDING

HARRY'S POV

Everyone was hyped in the dressing room.

Everyone was all in a good mood, laughing and joking around because today was the last day of the tour. We have been waiting for this day to end because we were all literally tired from travelling and not getting enough sleep. Our voices are somewhat strained from performing one concert after another and I think tonight was going to be a good one.

This was the day that we have been looking forward to because we can finally rest from all the touring although I would somewhat being on tour with these amazing people. We managed to pull ourselves through the tiring nights from technical difficulties to incompatible differences which caused a few riff-off backstage but managed to made amends.

I hoped that this was going to be a good night for the entire band and the rest of the entire crew because once the tour will end, we would have a lot of things to handle aside from the movie On The Road Again: Backstage Access. The director and the producer were all very approachable and managed to make sure we knew what they were going to put in the movie.

Personally, I had a lot of things to do after the concert and I have meaning to do something I know that would make me happy. I have talked about it with the lads and they were all very supportive of my decision. I wanted to do this for my freedom and they wanted to do the same thing as well.

“Thanks Lou.” I tell Lou Teasdale as I smile at her on the mirror as soon as she finished doing my hair. “You looked like you’ve gained weight.”

“I did. I have been eating a lot lately.” She smiles. “You seem much better now compared to those days when you were dying.”

I chuckle, “I am a lot better now. I am trying to be.”

She holds my arms, “That is really good. Time will tell when tings will be okay for you and her.”

I smile tightlipped as she leaves me.

“Harold.”

I turn to Liam who is handing me some chips, “No thanks.” I answered.

“How do you feel?” Liam asks.

People have been asking me that same question for the past days and I always tell them the honest response I can give. I have been trying to get better after the scene in the airport and I feel a little better now than those past days. I learned to accept that Lindy and I needed some time off from each other but it didn’t mean that I loved her less. The more I was away, the more my love for her grows and I was hoping she was doing the same thing too.

“I m trying to be better.” I answer.

“Well we should enjoy your last day for OTRA.” Liam smiles at me happily.

“Thank you Liam.” I said out of the blue.

He looks at me weirdly, “For what?”

“For always being there with the lads. For always having my back.” I tell him.

“Awe.” Liam cooed. “Don’t get all sentimental now, the concert has not even started yet.”

I chuckle.

It has been months since that airport scene made headlines and how the management threw a fit about the whole thing when it was released. As soon as news came out that the management were threatening me to lie about Lindy, the fans have been much more supportive for us but the management decided to keep mum about the whole thing until it went away. I didn’t know how it got out to the public but I think people were trying to patch the holes and was able to find out what was really going on.

The fans were amazing when they were showing their neverending support to the band through their hashtags on the socials like #FreeHarryStyles #FreeOneDirectionMovement and other celebrities were showing some love too. Everyone knew what was going on beind closed doors and I had to release a statement about the issue which worsened the image of Modest.

Even if Lindy and I were not on speaking terms, I made sure that her future and her education was still safe and she was not blacklisted to any of the universities in America. She was not, thankfully. After she stood up against the media and stood up against bullying when she was interviewed by Jimmy, some universities were inspired and amazed by her bravery for standing up for herself.

She had been offered scholarships from a few colleges as what Martha had told Niall and that made me even prouder of her. Martha has been the only one keeping an eye on Lindy for me and I was so proud when she told me that Lindy is vying for class Valedictorian. I am so happy for her because good things are happening in her life after the mess I caused. I am happy for her accomplishments. Lindy was smart and I knew she could get through any university in the world.

The past days, I personally and secretly hired some attorneys to study everything that I have been complaining about. I am suing the management after the tour and I have been getting all forms of support from my family, friends, the crew and the lads. The attorneys said that I could win this case in court against the management and I was eager to do this for me.

The band has been making talks with another management in London who had a much better offer than Modest and we have already decided to sign under DIVINE Management as soon as our contract with Modest ends in a few weeks. The five of us are no longer renewing our contract with Modest because we have been utterly abused for long years and it is time to to leave a toxic environment and get on something much better.

"We want to thank all of you for coming to this show." Liam said out to the crowd as soon as the last song was done. “We would never made through this entire tour without all of the fans supporting us.”

"You were all so great!" Zayn added sounding really happy that we finally ended the show. “We would not have done it without all the massive support.”

"To the entire crew, the band, the whole team, thank you so much for everything this past couple of months being together on tour. It was fucking sick.” Louis curses and laughs happily. “We wouldn't be here without you guys! You're all incredible!" Louis blurted out.

I smiled, I was happy too. "Hope you enjoyed the show and have a good night! We love each and everyone of you!" I screamed over my mic as I was waving to the fans.

"This is where we end our On The Road Again tour! Thank you so much for making all this possible! We love you guys!" Niall smiled at the fans.

The five of us took one last group hug in front of the thousands of screaming fans as the band kept playing some riffs of Best Song Ever trying to keep the tension high before we finally take our last bow.

“We did it guys!!” Liam screams over the deafening shrieks and the loud music.

“We finished the tour!!!” Niall seems so jolly.

“Thank you so much for this memory lads!” Louis says with his beaming smile.

I smiled as we started hugging one another as the song continues to play on the background. As soon as we finished hugging, we stood in a straight line, holding hands and took our last bow in front of these amazing fans who came here to show their support for the last concert of the tour.

As soon as we went backstage and headed straight to the dressing room, I was happy that the OTRA Tour finally ended and I cannot believe we finished yet again another tour. We thanked all of the crew as soon as we were all backstage and was blessed to finish again this amazing tour with the same amazing people. We were able to pull through all of this.

As the entire band wanted to throw some afterparty, I decided to skip it because I wanted to be alone not because I was getting all sad but I was missing Lindy again. It has been like this for days and I know I am still holding on to the thought that we are going to be together again. I am sure we will and I know we will be back together again.

Lindy was right, both of us needed some space away from each other to think thoroughly of things that has been going on. She needed some time to heal and to find herself. I just wish that these days of not seeing each other, she didn’t meet any other man because I have never set my eyes and interest on other women. I have been getting sober and decided to write more songs when I am down since it was much more therapeutic than drinking alcohol.

I still message her from time to time even though I rarely get a response. I took Josh’s advice to heart. Lindy was hurt that is why she had to put all these high walls to guard herself and she had to decline me but it didn’t mean I should stop pursuing her. I love her like I have never loved anyone before and I am only focusing all of my attention on her and getting back with her.

When all of us got back to London, we were all happy to be on a quick vacation after all the touring. We had a few days off before getting busy with the movie and I had more time to focus on filing this case and winning it against the management. I cannot wait till I see Patrick and Dan’s fucking face the moment they know I am suing them. We were called in a meeting by the management the next day they found out what I did and I had to bring my lawyers with me during the meeting. Patrick and Dan looked remorsed and I have never been so happy seeing them like that. I can finally get back at these assholes who ruined my relationship.

“We are not renewing our contract.” Liam says confidently. “I think it is about time to pull out from this because the management clearly does not know how to take care of their artists.”

“All five of you are ungrateful to Modest!” Patrick exclaims angrily.

“Patrick, I think we all know how terrible you have been to all of us.” Louis answers him. “To Harry especially.”

Patrick turns to me, “You are gutsy for even suing us?” He points his finger at me ragingly. “We gave you fame! You are not Harry Styles without us!”

I chuckle, “I am not Harry Styles without these four other guys. We made names for ourselves and worked long hard hours to reach where we are now.”

“How unappreciative!” Dan hollers.

“We are signing with another management who has much better offer than this toxic management.” Zayn says.

“I think it is best for both parties.” Niall adds.

“You are going to regret every single bit of this!!” Patrick says so angrily that his cheeks looked red. “You traitors!!”

I stand from my seat, “I will see you guys in court then. Have a good day, Patrick, Dan. Oh, and tell Bobson that I will see him there too.” I smiled to annoy them.

“You cannot do this to us!” Dan spits.

Zayn pushes the contract away from us as they stand from their seats too. “We just did.”
