Chester snuggled closer to Angelina and reached out to stroke her breasts. She quickly grabbed 

his slender fingers with her small hand. “Just sleep if you want to.” 

“I’ll sleep as I stroke. 

Angelina didn’t have breast milk after giving birth, but her breasts had grown larger 

compared to before, and she noticed it too. 

“No, you’ll sleep alone. We’ll be sleeping separately.” 

“No way.” 

He insisted on holding her in his arms. Angelina raised her hand and noticed Chester’s long, dense eyelashes. 

What reason did a man have to have such long eyelashes? She reached out and traced her fingers from the root of his eyelashes. “They’re so long.” 

Chester pressed his lips to hers the next second, lingering on her… 

Angelina was dazed from the kiss, and Chester wasn’t any better. His body was tense as he 

forced himself to clear his mind of desire. 

“Let’s sleep,” he said in a hoarse voice, and Angelina shivered slightly before burrowing into 

his embrace. 

He exuded a clean scent of soapberry, but there was also a faint trace of smoke. 

The afternoon was still hot, the temperature indoors was only slightly lower than outside. 

The light purple curtains were drawn, with a small gap left open. A sliver of sunlight fell on Chester’s hand, and the remaining faint light scattered across the bed. 

The two could feel each other’s breath and gradually closed their eyes. 

Catherine was crying outside, probably still adjusting to the new environment. Patricia and Emily took turns caring for her, sitting with Catherine on the balcony couch to sunbathe.

Has Angelina been discharged?” 

“She was discharged this morning. I didn’t make it back in time.

go and see her. You can head back first.”

Rosalind was outside showing clothing designs to a client. She wanted to discuss something with Isadora when she returned but couldn’t find her. 

“Megan…” 

“Isa left early. Angelina and the baby were discharged today, so she rushed back to check on 

them.” 

“They were already discharged?” 

“I think so.”
