Chapter 70 

“But it still sheds. Look at all its fur everywhere. 

Angelina tightened her embrace around Blanco. Emily carried Catherine, commenting, “Look: at your mommy. She only wants to play with the cat and not you. 

Despite saying that, she laid a blanket on Angelina to keep her warm. 

Blanco quickly adapted to life as a domestic cat, and its swift adjustment made Angelina suspicious that it might have been a pet who ran away from its previous family. 

Typically, stray cats would flee at the sight of a human. Even when food was offered, they would hide and only reappear once the person had left. 

Blanco, however, seemed friendly with humans. 

“Did you run away from your owner, Blanco?” 

The cat meowed softly while lying on Angelina’s chest, its snow–white hind legs curling beneath its stomach. It slowly blinked at her. 

She stroked its head, after which it meowed again. 

By the time Emily and Patricia had changed Catherine’s clothes, Angelina had fallen asleep. 

When Chester returned, he brought home some peaches and cherries. 

Due to Angelina’s diet during her recovery period, she had begun craving all kinds of food. It was especially so at nighttime when she would tell him, “I wanna eat this“, and “I wanna eat 

that“. 

Despite filling his stomach at dinner, he would crave supper because of her. One time, he pretended to fall asleep at her request, only to quietly slip into the kitchen and heat up a pizza 

after she dozed off. 

Chester opened the door and walked in to see Angelina and Blanco sleeping on the couch. Considering how she previously said she would put it into a cage, he found it amusing to see the opposite now. 

“Don’t get too comfortable with my wife,” he said, grabbing the cat by the neck. After a pitiful meow, it was placed into its cage. 

Angelina opened her eyes and took a glance but didn’t come awake. Once the sleepiness hit, nothing could disturb her. She turned to her side and continued to sleep. 

“Don’t wake her up. Just let her sleep here.!! 

Emily fold Chester not to bother her, but he ignored her advice. He carried Angelina to the bed and tucked her in instead. 

Chap 4 

Although Angelina ate very well after giving birth, having several meals a day, she was noticeably much lighter than when she was pregnant. 

The swelling had gone down, and her hands and feet had become delicate; her body was now tiny and slender. She nestled in his arms, looking even more adorable than Blanco. 

Her long hair spread messily across the pillow, prompting him to tidy her hair for her. Then, he left the room to see Catherine. 

As the sun set, Florence came delivering 20 farm eggs. “These came from a relative of mine. They’re perfect for Angelina’s diet. I bet she’ll love it if you turn them into flan.” 

“You’re being too generous, Madam Hastings, giving us free–range chickens and farm eggs. We can’t have them.” 

An embarrassed Emily tried to refuse, but Florence patted her hand. “It’s fine. I’ve already given them to you, so no takebacks.”
