Chapter 90 

“Cutie Whitmore, stop giving your mom a hard time. Your grandma will be away for a while, so you need to be good, okay? I have to go to work and can’t take you to the office. So, you can’t tire your mom out.” 

When Angelina came out of the bathroom, she wore a pink polka–dotted pajama set with a square neckline highlighting her delicate neckline. 

Most of her clothes were either overly sultry ones bought by the female side character or cute ones bought by Emily. 

Angelina didn’t like the overly provocative ones and preferred the ones Emily bought. 

Emily liked to dress her like a sweet, well–behaved girl. Hence, they all leaned toward a cutesy look, whether it was pajamas, lingerie, or outerwear. 

Even her previous room used to be filled with pink stuffed bears. 

However, it seemed that Emily had adjusted to the idea of Angelina becoming her daughter–in -law because she began buying more simpler, mature designs for her. She even hung a shell wind chime by her bed. 

Chester stared at her, momentarily lost in thought. “When did you buy that?” 

“A while back.” 

Angelina had randomly picked the pajama set from her wardrobe. She wasn’t one to spend much time sorting through clothes, so whatever caught her eye first would be what she’d put

By the time Chester finished his shower and came out, Angelina had placed Catherine in the cradle beside the bed. 

She still hadn’t adjusted her biological clock since her confinement after giving birth. She always felt sleepy, and if this continued, she was sure she’d start living like a pig. 

She rolled over, and he joined her in an instant. 

Under the mellow amber glow of the bedside lamp, the fresh aroma of their body washes lingered in the air. But Angelina’s body lotion added an extra layer of fragrance that was uniquely hers. 

Chester lifted his arms, and she instinctively snuggled into his embrace, her eyes already 

closed. 

“You smell amazing. What is that?” 

Angelina opened her eyes to look at him. He’d smelled it several times before, yet he was still asking. 

Chapter 90 

“It’s… Mmph…” 

Before she could continue, his lips locked on her lips, and his hands wandered over her body. 

The kiss came unexpectedly with no warning or prelude. It was so intense that Angelina didn’t have the time to react, and her drowsiness faded quickly. His hands even slid under her clothes. 

When he pulled back, her lips were red and swollen, and her face flushed. 

“Chester, what are you doing?” Her voice tinged with embarrassment. “The doctor said I have to wait at least 42 days.” 

“I know. Don’t worry because I won’t touch you tonight.” 

Then, Angelina wrapped her arms around his neck, and they continued to kiss. 

She didn’t know how much time had passed. The sheets became wrinkled, both of them were sweating, and at some point, her pajamas had ridden up, and they were pressing on each other. 

When she realized what was happening, she tried to sit up, but Chester pressed her back down. 

“Hold on.” 

“Why?” 

“Let me check the time.” 

He had been counting down the days. According to last night’s count, it had been 41 days.
