She didn't make any motion to move or talk so I just stood holding my mate. I hope she listens and agrees to talk to them or maybe even Grace. She seemed to be in a deep thought so I didn't say anything.
"I will talk to her," she said finally looking up at me.
"Alright," I said and led her into the house.
We began to go down into the basement when Morgan stop.
"What's wrong?"
"Why are we going down here?" she asked confused.
"Morgan, you do know that Grace has to been locked in a holding cell until this whole thing is settled, right?"
She shook her head, "I didn't mean for her to be locked up," she said running down the steps.
I ran down the steps after her and heard the lock of the door unlock and the creaking of the door open. I decided to stay up on the steps and leave them alone to talk.
Morgan's P.O.V
I heard John sit on one of the steps and I turned back to Grace. She was sitting on the bed Indian style right up against the head board.
"Can I talk to you?" I asked her.
She looked at me as if I was crazy.
"Why do you have to ask?"
"I may not be on the best terms with you but you do deserve respect, Grace."
"Respect? I am locked up in a holding cell," she said to me.
"I did not ask for you to be locked up so do not be mad at me for that Grace. You can be mad at me for yelling at you and for despising your mate," I told her.
I walked into the room and walked up to the end of the bed.
"I am not mad at you for those things," She said turning her head to the side.
"Really?" I asked confused.
She chuckled to herself, "Morgan he killed your mother," She said to me as if I were dumb or something.
"I know, Grace, I was there," I told annoyed.
She sighed and turned back to face me, "He knows what he did was wrong," she told me.
"But yet he comes into my room and threatens my life? Grace, I have a hard time understanding that."
"You just don't know him," she told me.
"And you do?" I asked.
She looked at me with sad eyes and nodded.
"He didn't mean to. He just loses control sometimes," She said to me.
I gave her a smile and nodded. I didn't say anything due to the fact that I was still in shock that Charlie did that to his mate.
"Morgan, I want you to know that I am not mad at you," She said looking me in the eye, "I don't like what he did and I certainly don't want you to think that. He knows that it was wrong. I know it may not seem like it but he does," she told me.
"Grace, I can't forgive him for what he did no matter how many times you tell me that. I may sound like a b*tch, but he is a murderer and in my book that will never change," I told her.
I turned to leave since it was hopeless to try and talk to her about this.
"Morgan, I don't expect you to see him as anything else," she said, "I still do."
I turned back around to look at her.
"He knows how I feel and it haunts him every day. I hate knowing that but I don't know how to deal with it," she said tearing up, "I don't know how to deal with all of this," and she began to cry.
"Grace, I want to show you something," I told her getting up off the bed.
"I can't leave," she told me.
"I think you will want to come," I said holding my hand out to her.
