"Penny for your thoughts," Morgan asked.
"There not worth a penny," I smiled back at her.
"To me they are."
"That sounds like something you would read out of a romance novel."
"I believe the word you are looking for is corny and it is a little, but I don't care," she said giving me a peck on the lips.
"Morgan!" Ash came screaming over to us.
"Oh my god! I have to tell you something," She said jumping up and down.
Morgan smiled and laughed, "I think she needs to tell me something," She said to me sarcastically.
I laughed while Ash dragged her way from me.
Morgan's P.O.V
Ash pulled me into a broom closet. Why? I don't know but whatever.
"So what do you have to tell me?"
"Guess what I found underneath my floor boards?"
"What were you looking for under your floor borads?"
"That isn't important right now Morg," She said with a straight face.
"What did you find?"
"I told you to guess."
"Really?"
"Yes really now guess."
"I don't know. A bloody murder weapon?"
"Now, that is a little extreme, Morg."
"Can't you just tell me?"
"Fine," She said with a smile that stretched from ear to ear.
"I found an engagement ring!" She screamed.
Well, now he is going to know that she knows but that isn't important right now. I just screamed and jumped up and down with my best friend. Ash is one of those people whose happiness and laughter is contagious. You can't help but now laugh.
"Wait, how big?" I asked.
"Friggin' huge," She smiled and we began jumping again.
We were so happy that we didn't hear someone coming and open the door.
"What are you girls dancing about?" Jackie asked with her hand on her hip.
"Nothing," we said at the same time walking out and back to the party.
Half way to the living room I just couldn't keep it to myself anymore.
'I have something to tell you too.'
'What's up?'
'Your dad is doing it tonight' I messaged her.
Ash stopped dead in her tracks, 'Tonight?'
I nodded, 'He is going to announce it at the end of the party. I just couldn't keep it to myself anymore.'
'When did you find out?'
I nodded as she played with the French braded pigtails Nina had done to match her black velvet and pink skirted dress.
"John is wonderful with them," Nina said nodding over towards him and the children.
"He sure is."
'Do you know if Tommy has heard anything?' Nina messaged me.
I shook my head and she looked down with sad eyes briefly not to show Ally her disappointment. Tommy and Tim have been searching for the men and prisoners that were taken, but have turned up with nothing.
"Ally, why don't you go join them?"
"No. I want to stay near you guys," she said stretching her arms towards her mother.
"She thinks that every time I am out of sight I will disappear again," Nina told me.
I jumped a little when John's arms wrapped around my waist.
"Come and play with us," He said.
"I think I am a better observer than partaker."
"Sorry I had to resort to this," he whispered.
My feet were lifted off the ground and John's arms tightened around my waist. John's laughter filled my ear.
"Attack!" Alex screamed.
About twenty little arms and hands were around me and tickling me. I was laughing so much that my abs began to hurt.
"Stop it!" Ally yelled at them.
"Ow," John said looking down at Ally.
"Stop," kick in the shin, "Hurting," second kick in the shin, "Her."
