John lifted her and placed her on top of me.
"I came to save you," She said smiling.
I laugh and began to tickle her. She giggled and tried stopping me. Familiar arms picked me up bride style.
"I came to save you too," John whispered.
I laughed, "You're a little late lover boy."
He smirked and kissed me on the lips earning us 'ew's, 'yuck's, 'aw's from the kids.
"Alright everyone present time!" Miss. May called and all the kids ran an sat down in a circle.
"We should go join the big kid party although I will most likely enjoy this one a whole lot more."
I laughed, "Probably."
John grabbed and led us to the living room. The warmth of his hand made me feel safe and tingly. The conversation that Ash and I had earlier kept bubbling to my lips to ask him, but kept it shut. John's thumb kept drawing little circles
"John. Morgan" Tommy said waving us over to the crowd of people around him and Jackie.
"Council members," John whispered, "Working the political scene."
I squeezed his hand, "Well, I think you got this one in the bag."
He chuckled and squeezed my hand, "So do you."
I couldn't help but smile at the thought of being by his side when he became Alpha. Let's just hope he won't get mad when he finds out that I knew before he did.
"Let's eat!" Zach called out as soon as Ruby opened the doors to the dining room.
"Now, Jonathan have you decided when you shall take over the Alpha position?" one of the council members asked as we all filed in to take our seats.
"I have not but I think I will be prepared to take over whenever my father asks me to."
His reply made me sigh in relief for my worries of him being angry when he finds out.
"Come on, Franklin. Stop asking the boy so many questions about the future. Let us live in the present," A woman said coming up next to him said.
"Ah! There you are. Jonathan and Morgan, I would like to introduce my wife Allison."
"It is nice to meet you," I said shaking her hand.
"You too," She said.
"It is nice to meet you, Allison."
"Same here, Franklin has told me so much about you John. The council I hear is very interested in what you have to bring to the table once you become Alpha," She replied.
"I am a growing boy. I need to eat," He stated.
When he got up to leave Chase joked with him some more, "Where are you going? To eat Santa's cookies or eat the pantry?"
We all laughed when Zach just walked out with no response.
"Alright everyone time to go," Jackie said turning the lights off.
We all got up to leave but Jackie cut in front of us.
"You two need to go to the meeting room."
John just nodded and locked our fingers together.
When we walked in the whole council stood up as we made our way to the two empty seats next to Arthur. Tommy stayed standing along with Jackie. Once we were seated the rest of the council sat as well and Arthur nodded to Tommy to start.
"It has been a great pleasure sitting in the same seat that my father and his father has sat in making decisions that would not only affect me but the pack that put all their trust in me to lead them. Tonight I ask the council's permission to welcome my son, Jonathan Thomason Clark to take my seat in the council to represent and take responsibility of the pack that I call mine?"
John's hand tightened around mine.
'I am here. I am ready if you are,' I messaged him.
He turned and looked at me. I couldn't tell what emotions were going through him but his eyes held the same look they had when I woke up after Charlie had bitten me.
