He half smiled at me, "I know, love, but I need to wrap your gift; not you. You can't wrap your own gift."
"That's my gift!" I said and I could feel my eyes grow.
I couldn't control my arms as they reached for the unwrapped box. Suddenly the box was gone and John had my arms pinned to the ground.
"You have to wait until we go downstairs so that everyone sees you open it," he said.
"Why can't I just have a little peek?" I asked with a pouty lip hoping to soften him up.
"No," he said giving me a soft kiss on my pouty kip.
"But-"
A scream came from outside and immediately John was out the door with me right on his tail. Everyone was crowded around the door looking at the scene outside.
"Everyone move out of the way," John said firmly was authority ringing through his voice.
All their eyes widened and they parted to make a little walkway for us.
'Stay on the porch and watch Ally and Alex,' He messaged me.
'John what is it? What is going on?'
'They found Anderson,' He said looking in my eyes.
John ran out to the small group in the distance. Ally and Alex were looking out in the same direction that John went out to. Both of them were still in their pajamas and I could tell they were cold. I turned to the crowd of people and asked if someone could bring me two children's coats.
"Here you go my dear," A woman said handing me two coats one for a boy and girl.
"Thank you," I said smiling at her.
I draped them over their shoulders and sat them on my lap.
"Why is mommy crying?" Alex asked me.
I held myself together and answered him, "She is just overwhelmed right now."
I could see Dr.Wright's figure in the distance along with Jackie, Tommy, and of course Nina. They were all crowded around Anderson's body. I couldn't tell what state he was in but for the amount of time they were crowded around him it wasn't good.
"What is going on?" Ash asked sitting down next to me.
'Anderson' I told her.
She didn't even flinch as she took Alex in her lap. As she lifted him I got a glimpse of a platinum diamond in crusted band with a really big heart shaped diamond in the middle.
John still hadn't come home to the pack house and I was getting worried not only for him, but for the others with him as well. The sky looked extra dark tonight with no stars or moon for light. The bare trees blew in the wind and if it was a horror film it would be storming and the bad guy would come up behind me.
I didn't feel like being by myself so I had Ally and Alex sleep on the sofa bed. Their little bodies curled up. Ally clutching a new doll that looked exactly like her old one and Alex had some of his new trucks on the coffee table I moved next to the bed.
"Morgan?"
I turned away from my window to see Mrs. G my shifting and wolf prep class teacher.
"Hi! It is good to see you," I said giving her a hug.
"You too. I miss seeing you in class. I see however you have more important things to take care of."
"What can I do for you?" I giving her a smile.
"Actually, I have something for you," She said looking through her purse, "I received this in the mail a few days ago."
She place a white envelop in my hands. As I read the stamp and return address I could feel my eyes widened.
"Well, come on I have been waiting to see you open it for days," She said.
I looked at the letter that I had to admit that I completely forgot about. Jackie walked in to check on the kids. She said her hellos to Mrs. G and she asked what I was holding.
