"Possibly," She said unsure.
The sound of my mother's howl filled the sky and I knew something was wrong. This can't be happening. Too many things are happening all at once. If something happens to Morgan or if she gets hurt I might not be able to forgive myself.
'We will protect her.' My wolf told me.
His confidence reassured me and I shifted back into my wolf. Ash followed behind me with Kalee on her back.
"Morgan and Charlie should be able to at least have a chance to fight whoever it is from taking them over completely but it is up to them," Kalee said.
I nodded in response. Voices of different pack members were screaming in my head. I cannot concentrate.
'Shut up! Everyone will be heard if you talk one at a time.'
'Alpha, you need to get to the clearing east of where you are located.'
'I am on my way,' I could feel most of the presences leave my mind, 'Anyone else?"
It went dead silent and I knew everyone was on their way to the clearing. Ash and I changed our course toward the clearing. There was something about that place that never settled well with me and after Morgan's mother's death it didn't subside any of it.
As we made it to the edge of the clearing I saw Morgan's wolf and Charlie's wolf next to an unknown wolf. I could tell it was a female by her size and stance. She was no bigger than Morgan and her coat was gray and black. As I stepped into the clearing the other parted my way as I came to the front next to Anthony. He was tense and was in a protective stance.
'Anthony calm down.'
'It is her,' He said warily.
Ashes' eyes widen and brushed up against him. Kalee looked between them and jumped off.
'What do you want?' I directed to her.
The gray wolf advanced to the center of the area.
'To talk.'
'About?'
'Curiosity killed the cat,' She said was a smirk, 'You don't want to end up like the cat now do you?'
'I asked you a question.'
'And I gave you an answer, Alpha. Congratulations by the way about that. Never thought I would see the old man give it up, but then again I never thought I would have to result to these types of tactics.'
'You have been playing mind games and murderous tactics. Now, I will ask you again; what do you wish to talk about.'
Kalee came closer to my head and began to mutter words in an unknown language.
'Johnny?' Morgan's trembling voice echoed in my head it pained me.
"She is fighting John," Kalee said with hope.
Someone shifted out of the line; Grace. She walked closer to the center causing Charlie to whimper, but stay in his place.
"Stop doing this to him. It has been you all these years hasn't it? Why? You can't keep taking things that aren't your-"
"Aren't mine? Ha! That is funny coming from the girl who fled from her mate. Who was ashamed of be a mate to a rouge. I should be yelling at you." She yelled back.
Charlie whimpering and growling at Sierra finally jumped to the center and shifted back turning his back to us.
"That is enough of your sick game. I am tired. You make no sense. You are seriously messed up in the head."
She laughed, "I was only trying to protect you from getting hurt...again."
At this point everyone was in their human form except for Morgan whose wolf was shivering and was slowing making her way to lie on the ground.
"Something isn't right?" Kalee said, "You have to get her angry again."
"Why?" as I turned to her she had the face she used to give me all the time that said don't ask questions just do as you say.
