Freya

Titus's wolf was white as snow, his coat looked softer and fluffier than any other wolf. He was beautiful both in his human and wolf form. The eyes of the wolf were still blue, which meant that Titus was still in control. He had not let his wolf take control fearing that he might want to mark his mate.

"What do you think?" his voice echoed in my mind and I was shocked.

We were not mated yet, and there was not a possibility of mind linking until I was marked by Titus. How was this possible? I was still officially the member of my pack, so how was Titus able to mind link with me?

"You are beautiful," I tried to mind link him.

Titus's eyes shot up to mine at my answer, he too looked astonished by the fact that we could mind link each other without being marked and mated to each other.

How could this be possible? I was beyond shock. There was something different about my mate bond with Titus. It was unlike any other mate bond.

"How are you able to mind link to me without being marked?" Titus's surprised voice echoed in my mind again.

"I don't know," I replied through the mind link.

"This is weird," Titus's voice echoed again.

"Yes, it is," I replied to him.

"Don't you want to touch and feel my coat?" Titus asked.

I curbed my astonishment that had arisen by our unusual way of mind linking and walked towards the huge white wolf that was my mate. Titus bowed down his head so I could touch it. I ran my fingers on his neck. His fur was softer than wool and it was the thickest and silkiest.

Sparks emerged as I kept brushing my fingers through his fur. Titus's wolf looked like he was enjoying it. Titus sniffed me with his snout and licked my face with his tongue.

"No," I tried to shove his snout away from my face, but he was too strong for me.

"Titus stop," I giggled from the tickling caused by his snout.

"His name is Sabre," Titus's voice echoed in my head again.

I liked the name of Titus's wolf, there was no doubt he was strong and fierce but right now he was behaving like a cuddly bear with me. I loved the way he was trying to get my attention and get close to me.

Sabre was still licking my face, I was sure he might have licked off all the makeup from my face by now. Sabre got on his four and took a step towards me and I was pushed back. He continued pushing me until I was on the floor of the terrace and he was hovering over me.

I should have felt afraid of Sabre but surprisingly I didn't. I don't know why but I knew he would never hurt me. Sabre straddled me and sat above my body lying flat on the floor.

"He is not giving me control, he wants to play with you," Titus said through the mind link.

"It's okay, I think I like him too," I replied.

Sabre gave me his wolf grin and licked my face harder. I should have felt disgusted from his licking but unexpectedly I didn't. Instead, I liked the way he wanted me all for himself.

"I am going to shift now, Sabre got more action than me," Titus spoke in a teasing tone

I blushed from his teasing, I had been an idiot to stop Titus from kissing me, thinking about some weird prophecy from a weirdo. My mind drifted back to the old man again. Why couldn't I stop thinking about him?

I felt Sabre's weight lifted off me and he retreated back to the spot he had shifted. I turned my head again, the moment I heard the sound of the bones snapping. I looked in the direction of Titus after some time when I was sure that he was dressed again.

Titus had slipped into his dress pants and was now buttoning his shirt. He was smiling at me, my heart skipped a beat. I couldn't believe how close I was feeling to a stranger in this limited amount of time.

I stood up from the floor, smoothening the creases of my dress. It was completely ruined, I was worried about how I was supposed to go back to the party in this state. My hair was a complete mess and my makeup was lying somewhere in Titus's stomach.

"Did you like Sabre," Titus asked approaching me and extended his hand to me.

"Freya won't be accompanying us," Alpha Xander said in a cold tone.

"Dad, she is my mate and she has to live with me," Titus protested.

"Don't make me force you, Titus, you know better how much I hate disobedience," his voice was getting colder than ice.

I looked between Titus and his father and I knew that I could never be with Titus. His father won't allow him to have a mate who didn't even have a wolf. Alpha Xander won't allow a future Luna without a wolf for his pack. He was one of the most ruthless alphas in the world.

"Titus, you should listen to what your father is saying," I addressed Titus in a flat voice.

"Freya, I told you that I will..." I interrupted Titus in the middle, "Titus, please leave, " I screamed.

This was enough humiliation that I had for today. I didn't want to suffer more, I knew Titus's father would never approve of our match. Fighting him was a futile effort, he had the power to banish Titus from his pack, and no matter how much I wanted Titus I didn't want him to lose everything he had for me.

"Freya, please," he pleaded.

"I trust you Titus, but please go home for now and try to convince your father afterward. I won't be going anywhere, "I tried to assure him.

Titus was looking at me with helplessness on his face. I knew he was not able to believe that I was asking him to go and leave me. He should understand that I was not asking him to leave because I didn't want him, but because I didn't want him to regret choosing me afterward when the Euphoria of finding his mate dies a painful death.

"Titus," Alpha Xander called again.

Titus' shoulder slumped as he looked at me in a helpless way, "I won't give you up, Freya, I will come for you, "he mind linked, me.

"I will be waiting for you Titus, but please just go for now. I don't want to start my life with you on a wrong foot with your parents, "I told him through the mind link

"Wait for me Freya," This was the last thing he said to me before he left with his father.
