I wiped my mouth as nausea rolled around in my stomach. We both stood there looking at each other and I am waiting for Derek to say something. I watch as his eyes tighten into narrow slits causing me to shiver under there intense gaze.
He pushed himself of the wall and walked a few steps towards me grabbing my face roughly between his overly large hands.
"You've been sick." I bite my lip and nod my head causing a stinging sensation across my face. I look up to see one perfect eyebrow raised.
"Yes." He grunts grabbing my arm and dragging me into our room. He lets go and I stumble forwards but he catches me before I fall. I am facing him unable to read the expression that his eyes hold.
"How long?" He has a hold on my wrist causing slight pain.
"A few weeks." I look over just beyond his shoulder wondering if I will ever escape this hell that I am in.
"Are you pregnant?" I gasp and look back at Derek with disbelieving eyes.
"No." I say strongly. If Derek knew the real reason I was sick he would most definitely kill me. Since Derek got rid of my pills I have been slipping a small amount of wolfsbane into my food hoping to kill whatever chance there is of having a baby however it is slowly killing me in the process.
I dread each night when Derek forces himself upon me, so I will gladly welcome death with open arms if it means that I don't have to bring a child into the life that I live. He stares at me before his fist connects with my face.
"You are lying to me." My face is throbbing that I didn't see his fist until it collided with my stomach. All the air leaves me as I hunch over trying to ease the throbbing pain. I make the mistake of looking up when his foot slams into my chin. I hear bones crunch as blood feels my mouth. I try to scream but it causes me immense pain.
Derek grabs my face causing a scream to build up in my throat. He moves my head to the side as he examines the damage he has cause. I watch him sigh as he shoves me onto the bed. He pulls out his phone and is talking to him but I am in too much pain to listen.
My wolf is trying to heal the damage but she is weak. Derek leaves the room and comes back with a bowel and a cloth. I flinch when the cloth comes in direct contact with my swollen eye. Derek cares for me wiping the blood off my face with such care you would mistake it for love.
Conner and I finally make our way down stairs after spending the whole morning in the company of each other's arms. No one is in the kitchen so I sit down while Conner make us both some lunch.
"Where is everyone?" Conner places a plate of food in front of me and picks up a fork taking a bit of his own.
"I think they are all at the beach today. Would you like to go?" I take a bite of the food before answering.
"I guess so, I haven't seen Grace in a while." His smile widens as we finish up our food. Conner all but runs upstairs and grabs a bag packing it with towels and everything we will need. I grab a yellow sundress and a huge hat.
"Ready?" I laugh at Conner who looks like a two year old kid in a candy store. I nod my head and he grabs my hand running out the pack house and into his car. We get to the beach in record time and I smile to myself when I see most of the pack having a good time and enjoying themselves. We both get out the car and walk down to the beach hand in hand.
As we get closer to the water my head snaps in the direction of giggle's that belong to my daughter. It's almost as if she can sense me because her brown head snaps towards my direction and she begins crawling towards me. I drop my bag and run towards her picking her up in my arms, holding her close.
