"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm not even that dizzy anymore."
"Okay, I'll see you at my house tonight." He leans in for a long kiss, I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him closer. When he pulls away I want to pull him back in for another kiss but resist the urge. Maybe we should both skip our last class.....
"Do you two ever get tired of seeing each other?" Jess asks. "If I sleep with the same guy
twice I get bored."
"Except for Nick." I point out.
"Oh shut up." She throws a rolled up napkin at me.
"I could never get tired of Kam." Ian says. "She's the coolest girl I know."
"Aww, thanks." I lace my fingers with his. Jess acts like she's gagging. "Oh shut up." I tell her.
He puts my hand to his lips and kisses it. "I'll see you tonight."
"Ian, you are the perfect boyfriend. Who would've thought Ian McAllister could be so thoughtful. Oh wait, that's right, the two of you aren't together. Which means Kamdyn can go out with whoever she wants right?"
Ian looks uncomfortable and this time I don't hold back when I kick her. She jumps from the pain and I shoot her a look to shut her up.
Ian runs a hand through his hair. "Um....yeah....I guess, I mean if she wants."
"There see?" Jess asks looking at me. "So you don't have to turn Owen down anymore. Ian doesn't mind."
Ian tenses next to me. "He asked you out again?"
"Yes." Jess says.
"Not exactly." I say.
"Which is it? Yes or no" Ian looks mad and I want to kill Jess. I don't know what she's trying to prove.
"Yeah, he totally just asked her out, yet again but she keeps turning him down. I guess
she's holding out for you."
"Jess, shut up!" I glare at her and have never wanted to hit my best friend so badly in my life. What happened to loyalty? Why is she telling him this? Jess takes a sip of her Frap, looking innocent.
"Is that true?" Ian asks me.
"No, he's not asking me out. He's just being nice, but yes I did turn him down." I watch as he visibly relaxes, maybe he really is jealous.
"Trust me, the guy is hung up on her, if you want her for yourself you'd better make a move, my girl isn't going to wait on you forever-"
"Jessica!" I say cutting her off. I used her full name so she knows I'm getting sick of her running her mouth. She just shrugs. "I'm not waiting on anyone." I say. She's basically telling him I love him! I should've never told her how I feel. I don't know why I thought she could keep a secret. "Ian and I are friends. We're just having fun."
"Good." He kisses my head and tightens his arms around me. I really could lay here forever.
Just then Tim walks into the living room and stops when he sees my eye. He gives a long whistle. "What happened to your face?"
"I got hit with a football."
"Ouch." He leans in and gets a better look. "I know that hurts. I thought Ian was teaching you how to throw again." He chuckles.
"No, but I'd like to teach Overton how to throw." Ian says. "Even if it takes a few times
of him getting hit in the face with a baseball."
"Overton did this?" Tim asks.
"Yeah, but it was an accident, they were playing football and I got in the way."
"They need to be more careful." Ian says still pissed about it. "There are a lot of people walking around on campus."
"No wonder they never win any games, they can't even pass a ball to the right person." Tim says.
"They're not that bad. They're actually pretty cool. Why don't you guys like them?" Well Owen is anyway, I've only talked to Overton a few times and I don't know the other guys they were with.
"They suck." Nick says from his spot on the recliner.
