"Okay, sorry. Your secret it safe with me." She runs her fingers against her lips like she's zipping them closed then smiles at me.

"It better be. I don't want that getting out."

"Yeah I can see why, jersey chaser." She bumps me again.

"I am not! Mason didn't even play sports."

"I'm just kidding." She assures me. "So you're not going to bail on me last minute to go hang out with Ian are you? I'm sure the rest of the girls will be there too, but I want my best friend to be there."

"I'll come. I told you I would and I will."

"You and Ian rarely even come to parties anymore and when you do you both leave early and hang out or whatever. You're such a couple."

"Ha, I wished."

She looks at me with sympathy in her eyes. I hate that. I probably shouldn't have told her how I felt about Ian, but I had to have someone to talk to and she is my best friend. "Screw him. I mean you already have like a lot but.....well you know what I mean."

I hear my name being called from behind me. I turn to see Ian jogging toward me. I hear

Jess groan beside me but I ignore her.

"Hey, baby." Ian says before giving me a kiss. He looks me over, taking his time, setting my entire body to flames. "You look hot, like always."

I can feel myself blush from head to toe but I don't say anything.

"You want to go grab something to eat before your next class?" He looks so sexy in his jeans and t-shirt it's hard to say no but Jessica says we shouldn't spend so much time together. I've got to stop making myself so available.

"Um...." I glance at Jessica who is smiling at me. "Jess and I were about to-"

"Hey, Overton!" Jess yells at the buff guy throwing a football around with his other equally buff buddies. He stops mid throw and looks her way. "Gotta go, love ya, Babe." She tells me before sauntering over to him. Yeah, thanks for being my excuse.

Ian watches her and laughs. "Jess and you are what?"

"Well guess that's off." I say a little embarrassed.

He laces his fingers with mine and I nearly swoon. It feels so right just holding his hand. If he doesn't feel the same way it's going to crush me because I am way too far gone. "So, you're coming to my game tomorrow right?" He asks.

"Of course. I wouldn't miss it."

He grins. "Good, you know you're my good luck charm."

"Like you need luck." I tell him.

His grin widens, exposing those dimples on both cheeks. "True, but it's still nice having

you there."

Jess says I need to stop going to his games, but I can't do that. It feels nice that he wants me there. We sit down at a table at the food court I got a veggie burger and a salad and Ian got a burger and fries. I watch as his jaw flexes when he chews, he even looks sexy when he eats. I take a bite of my burger but am suddenly not hungry.

"Okay, what's wrong?" He asks.

"Nothing." I tell him. "I'm just tired." I say picking at my bun.

"No, it's more than that, you've been acting weird lately."

"Weird how?" I give him a little smile, but I know it doesn't reach my eyes.

"Well the other night you tried to sneak out in the middle of the night which you never do, then yesterday I asked if you wanted to go see that movie you've been wanting to see for the last month and you said you couldn't because you're doing homework, like that's ever stopped you before, and now you're being all quiet which you never are. You're usually talking my head off so what's up? Why are you being weird?"

"I know but I really need to be back home tonight. I'll see you at your game tomorrow."

"Did Aaron say something to you or something?" He asks me.

That took me by surprise. What would Aaron say to me? Is there something I should

know? "What? No, he didn't. Why?"

He shakes his head but looks relieved. "Nothing. I just thought that maybe....never mind." Now he's acting weird.

"What? Just tell me."

He shrugs. "There's nothing to tell. If he does say anything to you just ignore him, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Okay?"

"Now I have to talk to Aaron." I say.

"No, it's nothing. Really. He's been crazy lately."

"He seemed normal the other day when I was over there."

"Just trust me."

"What would he tell me?"

He laughs but it's not his normal carefree laugh, he sounds nervous. "Just forget it. It's nothing. I just thought that maybe that's why you're being all weird. That's all."

I study him but don't say anything else about it. I really want to know what it is he thinks Aaron told me. Whatever it is he obviously doesn't want me to find out. Then it hits me, maybe he's sleeping with someone else. My heart dropped at that, we never said we weren't going to sleep with other people I just always assumed I was the only one. I mean anytime we're at a party he's not making out with any other girls but me and he always leaves with me, besides we spend a lot of time together so I never thought he really had that much time to spend with anyone else. Maybe I was wrong. I really need to talk to Aaron.
