Nathan shot back without holding back, "When you need something from me, I’m the vain, heartless one who ignores family ties. But when I need something from you, have you ever lifted a finger to help?"

Benjamin sulked and mumbled, "The stuff I ask from you is just small potatoes, nothing more than a flick of the wrist for you. But the things you ask from me, I could risk my neck and still not pull it off. How's that fair?"

Nathan snapped, "Double standards much?"

Every time Benjamin tried to speak, Nathan had a comeback, leaving Benjamin with no choice but to clam up.

Cameron, on the other hand, knew that business was all about give and take. He asked Nathan earnestly, "What is it that you want?"

Nathan replied, "I want what little assets you two have left."

He knew how to hit where it hurt.

Benjamin immediately objected, "Nathan, you’re ruthless. You’ve already bankrupted the Rowland and Dawson families, and with our assets nearly wiped out, you still want to squeeze out the last bit we have left. Even the worst villains aren’t as heartless as you."

Nathan looked at him, unimpressed, "Oh, so it's okay for you to scheme against me, but I can't use what little leverage I have over you?"

Benjamin's face turned pale, "How did you find out we were digging into your business?"

Nathan replied nonchalantly, "Your petty tricks are written all over your face. You really think you can pull one over on me?"

Benjamin glanced nervously at Cameron. Cameron, staying calm, quickly changed the subject, "Mr. Nathan, my wife is calling out your name day and night. Can you explain why?"

Nathan frowned, showing clear disgust, "A madwoman calls my name, and you two rush over to interrogate me?"

He chuckled darkly, "What, is madness contagious now?"

Nathan's anger had Cameron and Benjamin feeling uneasy and unsure.

Cameron quickly tried to smooth things over, "Mr. Nathan, don’t mind my brother’s nonsense. We’re not here to question any link between you and this disabled man. We just thought, being the most powerful guy in the Capital now, you could definitely help us find him."

Nathan scoffed.

"First you slap me, then you offer a sweet deal. You two work together like a charm. It’s a shame you’re not doing a comedy act."

Cameron and Benjamin felt completely exposed, like clowns without costumes in front of Nathan, their minds read like an open book.

Nathan, losing patience, said coolly, "Let me be clear. If you want information from me, you’ve got to pay up. If you’re just here for a free handout, then you’d better leave."
