Camille was taken aback but quickly recovered, saying, “Miss Reed, what do you mean, worrying about an old thing like me? It’s been more than half a year since we last met. When you suddenly showed up today, I thought you were here to visit Mrs. Walker. After all, Mr. Walker isn’t too fond of you coming around.”

Arianna’s smile faltered for a moment. She thought, ‘Isn’t Valerie supposed to be as dumb as a rock? How is it that now she has managed to make Camille distance herself from me?‘

But Arianna quickly composed herself and put on a polite smile. “Actually, I have a few things to clear up with Ms. Clark.”

Valerie sighed, looking slightly helpless, and corrected her. “Ms. Clark? No, I’m Mrs. Walker now. In this house, it’s only ‘Mrs. Walker‘. If you keep calling me ‘Ms. Clark,‘ Aiden might not be too happy about it if he hears.”

Camille couldn’t help but glance at Valerie a few more times, her expression subtly shifting.

Everyone knew how Valerie had always resisted being linked to Aiden. She’d even gotten upset when the house staff addressed her as “Mrs. Walker.” But now, Camille thought, ‘What is this?‘

Arianna’s smile stiffened, and she decided to be blunt. “About the incident where you set me up–I’ve already explained everything to Vivian.”

“Oh?” Valerie picked up her coffee, clearly intrigued. “I set you up? When did that happen?”

Arianna sneered. “Don’t play innocent! That gift–the one you ‘accidentally‘ left at the store–it was clearly yours! You pretended to forget it there so I would deliver it to David, hoping to ruin my reputation with the Walker family, right?”

Valerie took a sip of her coffee, narrowing her eyes as if savoring an exquisite taste. She smiled faintly and said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Arianna, fuming with frustration at Valerie’s calm demeanor, shot back, “I’ve already explained everything to Vivian. I even got the mall’s surveillance footage. The evidence is clear, and you’re still denying it!”

Valerie smiled, slowly setting her cup down. Leaning slightly forward, she said in a low voice, “Then go ahead and report me.”

Arianna was stunned. “You…”

Valerie’s lips curled into a sly smile, her voice slow and deliberate. “Go ahead and pull up the footage. Tell everyone how you stole the gift I purposely left at the counter and gave it to David. You thought you could use it to win favor, but instead, you just shot yourself in the foot…”

Valerie’s smile deepened as she added quietly, “So, tell me, whose reputation do you think would end up worse?”

Arianna’s face shifted dramatically, and she glared at Valerie, her anger palpable. “Aren’t you afraid? I’ll drag you down with me, even if it means ruining myself!”

Valerie didn’t flinch, instead smiling confidently. “Do you really dare?”

Arianna still clutched her phone tightly, keeping her back to Valerie.

Valerie lightly placed her hand over Arianna’s phone, her smile unwavering. “Even if you have a recording, do you really think you can release it?”

Valerie flipped the phone over, only to realize it wasn’t a recording screen–but a call screen. The person on the other end of the line was none other than

Aiden.

Valerie’s heart skipped a beat. She stared at Arianna in disbelief.

Arianna looked at Valerie’s expression and felt a sense of satisfaction bubble up inside her. Smiling, she said, “As long as I can expose your true nature to Aiden, even if it leads to both of us being dragged down, so what? A venomous woman like you doesn’t deserve him!“

Arianna thought, ‘My image in Aiden’s eyes is already ruined. Compared to intentionally giving intimate gifts to elders or stealing and trying to win favor,
