I turned around, my back to his front, and softly asked him "Could you please open my zipper?"
I felt his confusion, but Levin did as he was asked to and I heard the zipper of my light blue dress being opened.
I sucked in a deep breath, hoping it would give me courage for what would happen next.
Hoping that Levin would forgive me for what I was going to reveal to him and his family.
Hoping that he would still want me.
Hoping that he and his family and the pack would still accept me.
I heard several gasps when the zipper was almost at the small of my back and whispered brokenly "Here's your proof, Alpha."
Through the mist of my tears I heard Levin's clothes being shredded as he shifted and howled in agony before he stormed outside.
I wanted to follow him, tell him that everything was okay now, but I could not move. I was frozen in fear.
Fear of him rejecting me.
Fear of me being unworthy to be his mate.
I then heard Levke's sob before the zipper of my dress was pulled up again and a hand was softly stroking my back, where the scars were.
I thought they would be disgusted by what they had seen, but this gentle gesture had shown me that they had felt my pain.
"Please turn around Sophia", I heard Lennart's husky voice.
When I followed his demand the first emotion I detected in his eyes was guilt.
A frown marred his forehead and disbelief coloured his facial expression.
"I...I don't know what to say...", he uttered lost for words.
Levke's cheeks were covered with tears and she mumbled "Silver."
I had no idea what to do, I was definitely out of my comfort zone. Never had anyone ever responded to my pain like this.
Was this a normal reaction?
I wanted to comfort them, telling them that it did not hurt anymore, reassuring them that my parents would not punish me, now that I was not with them anymore.
Could Levin's parents understand that I suffered from depression and panic attacks? That I had been scared to leave my own room? That even though my parents had only started to punish me physically a year ago, they had abused me mentally all my life?
I did not dare to look them in the eyes, too afraid of what I would find there.
My heart was beating out of control and the familiar blackness clouded my eye sight, but I knew I was not finished with my confession yet.
Continue, another push from my wolf came, so I did.
"This was my last punishment and I'm almost sure that if Silas hadn't returned yesterday, similiar ones would've followed until..."
I broke off, my eyesight was almost gone, leaving me in a type of haze. I could feel the blood rushing in my ears, but I had to be strong. I had to finish the sentence in order for me to realize once and for all that my parents wanted me gone.
Wanted their burden, their disappointment, their weakling gone.
"Until I would've eventually died."
There I said it. Finally I had spoken out aloud my biggest fear.
I felt my strength leaving and the familiar blackness consuming me.
