My last thought was "I hope they'll understand."

"Sophia, you've got to come back to me!", I heard a male voice whisper to me.

I had no idea where I was or where I was supposed to come back to, but that did not matter, because all I needed to know, was where the voice was coming from.

It sounded husky and deep, full of affection and longing.

It tore at my heart.

"Come back to me." There it was again and I desperately looked for the owner of the voice, but I could not see anything except fog.

Where was I?

Suddenly I felt the softest of touches on my cheek, but the electric current that raced through me made me aware that it could just be one person.

"Levin?", I softly whispered.

A loud growl came as an answer to my right and my eyes instantly sought out the source.

I wanted to growl in frustration myself when I could not see anyone, but suddenly I could make out a black tail wagging in the distance. That had to be Levin's wolf.

A need to see the whole wolf suddenly overcame me and before I realized what I was doing, I was running towards it.

One second I felt the ground underneath me and the next it was gone. I was falling.

Gasping for breath I shot up. My heart was practically beating out of my chest and I had troubles breathing.

Where was I? Where was the wolf?

Instantly my eyes sought out any clues to tell me if I was in danger, but all I could see was darkness. My wolf whimpered wanting her mate, wanting his safety.

Where was Levin?

My hands were trembling, but I was still able to realize that I was lieing in a bed. It smelt faintly of freshly baked cookies and I started to relax my still alert posture.

My eyes finally adapted to the dark and I was able to make out the room I was in.

When I realized that there was no apparent threat I relaxed further into the cushions.

I was alone. No wolf and no Levin.

It must had been a dream, but it had felt so real. I could still feel my cheek, where Levin had touched me, tingle.

A need to find my mate rose deep inside me. I needed to make sure Levin was okay.

Not caring what time it was, I hastly climbed out of bed. The big tshirt I now wore caught my attention and I blushed just thinking about who had changed me. I brought the material to my nose and smelt Levin's scent, making my cheeks even redder. My stomach instantly was a little queasy, because what if Levin had changed me and he had not liked what he saw.

I desperately hoped that sombody else had undressed me, because just the thought of my mate seeing me naked while I was unconscious made me doubt myself.

Was I pretty enough for him?

I never was for my family.

Was it okay that I had no scars like the rest of my pack?

My family saw it as a disgrace.

I had not seen any battle scars on the Crescent Moon pack members so far, but that did not have to mean anything. Maybe they were more humble, hiding their battle scars for only their loved ones to see.

Would Levin be disappointed once he realized that I had no battle scars?

My wolf whimpered in my mind, not wanting to think about Levin rejecting me. I felt my heart accelerating just thinking about this possibility, but I clung to Levin's words telling me it was okay.

It was okay that I was a highly sensitive person and it was okay that I had problems.

My dark thoughts seemed to lighten as I tried to remember how it had felt to be accepted by my mate.
