A small smile appeared on my lips and I felt a lot better than before.

Whispers from outside Levin's room made me focus on the present again. I slowly made my way to the door, curious as to what was going on.

Because of my werewolf hearing I did not even have to open the door, I could clearly hear Levin whispering to someone.

My body relaxed even further, knowing that my mate was close.

Just as I was about to turn the door knob in order to get to Levin, I heard something that let me freeze instantly.

"Don't you remember our last kiss?", I heard a desperate voice whisper.

My eyes widened. Had not Levin told me that he had kissed someone before me? And this someone was here?

Feelings I could onldy describe as jealousy arose inside me and I was overcome with the need to run.

I was not ready to see Levin's past lover when I was still this insecure not only with myself, but with our relationship as well.

I was not ready to come to terms that his past lover lived here in the Crescent Moon pack and was probably a pack member. Somebody who had lived here since birth and probably knew Levin since he was little.

I was not ready for all these feelings of jealousy. All the feelings of self doubt, angst and helplessnes it awoke inside me.

Doubts started to creep up in my head and I asked myself the questions I had never found positive answers too since I had found out that I was supposed to be a Luna.

Was I good enough for Levin?

Was I good enough to become a Luna for this pack?

I felt tears gathering in my eyes and I wanted to do nothing more than to hide myself away in Levin's bed, but my body would not listen to me.

Instead I pressed myself closer to the door so that I could follow the conversation outside, that would break my heart.

"I remember Oliver, but I want to forget it.", Levin's voice harshly spit out.

I flinched as if the brisk words Levin had directed at his past lover where a physical blow at me.

"You can't be serious right now, don't you feel that I'm your mate?", a male voice, Oliver, said exasperated.

I felt my heart beating rapidly in my chest and willed myself to take deep breaths, in order to calm my heart down and for Levin und Oliver to not discover my eavesdropping.

"Sophia is my mate Oliver.", Levin said with determination in his voice.

My wolf howled excitedly in my mind, because Levin acknowledged us as his mate.

Nothing made sense anymore and I felt an headache coming.

Maybe this was all just a bad dream? My insecurities making fun of me again?

Just as I had halfheartedly decided that maybe it was indeed a crazy dream I could hear Oliver's voice clear as day telling Levin with determination.

"Deny it all you want Levin, but you are my mate!"

Shock gripped me once again, because hearing it loud and clear that Oliver did not think that Levin and I were mates made my heart hurt.

I heard steps leaving and was almost sure that Oliver had left.

Levin still breathed irregularly but what was even more humiliating than knowing that somebody else than me could affect Levin like this was his aroused scent I could now smell.

My heart broke, because Oliver was right. Levin had become aroused because of whatever Oliver had done to him.

My heart broke just then, knowing that somebody else wanted Levin and that Levin was not indifferent to him.

It did not matter that Levin tried to convince him that I was his mate. I was still able to feel the sexual tension from outside.
