"Finally you're here. This one wouldn't start to eat.", Levin told me and shot a brooding Nathan a smug look.
Nathan's face instantly softened when he saw me and when I realized that he indeed had not eaten yet, but had waited for me the butterflies in my stomach played havoc again.
Quickly I took my seat next to my mate only to have him move my chair closer to his. I giggled at his actions and placed my hand on his tigh, which he covered with his warm hand instantly. I loved how cherished and precious I felt with Nathan.
Lunch was great and for the first time in my life I did not feel left out. The others never gave me that feeling, but they all had their destined mate by their side so it was hard to oversee the fact that they had already found their happily ever after, while I had not been sure if the same kind of happiness existed for me too.
Now my happiness sat right next to me and I could not help myself but stare at my handsome mate. He was just too good to be true. I could see it in his behaviour that he was a kind and compassionate person, but would not let anyone diminish his values and views.
Nathan noticed me staring and wanted to know with a small smile on his soft looking lips, "What?"
Before I could answer him, Lennart started to speak, "We're really glad that you're back with us Sophia and we can't thank you enough that you and all the others found our Nathan again!"
I saw Levke's eyes fill with tears as she still looked disbelievingly at Nathan. I could relate to that because it felt like I was in a dream too.
"We couldn't be more happy and proud to have you as our daughter-in-law and announce you as our future Luna!"
I beamed at them happy tears filling my eyes, because never in my life had my parents been proud of me or happy that I existed. The Crescent Moon pack had gifted me with so much that I was sure I could never repay them.
"While it's custom to hold the mating ceremony as quick as possible in order to complete the mating process Levke and I decided to postpone it until next saturday."
"I'll just have a quick talk with my dad and then I'll meet you in our room.", Nathan said and smiled softly at me when he mentioned our room.
"Our room?", I questioned. Inwardly I was thrilled that Nathan wanted to share a room with me, but I had no idea where it was.
A small smile played on Nathan's lips when he told me, "I had a hard time falling asleep when I arrived and the room you occupied prior still smelt like you so I stayed there."
My smile widened even more when I heard my taugh mate admit that he had needed me close in order to fall asleep. My heart was almost beating out of my chest and I could not remember a time before I had met Nathan I was happier.
"That is so sweet.", I told him and saw his cheeks blush a bit.
