"I love you.", Nathan then told me and I realized that with him saying the three magic words now he meant he was in love with my personality. I wanted to fling myself into his arms, but I was aware what danger it would cause, so I settled on pecking his cheek and returning the words.
Before we finally arrived at the apartment Nathan had rented we went grocery shopping. During our drive I had found out what Nathan's favourite meals were and I was determined to cook them for him this upcoming week. Apparently Nathan and I had the same thought, because he loaded the trolley with the ingredients to make my favourite meals. Like fools we grinned at each other.
Afterwards we finally arrived at a cozy looking cottage which was positioned almost right at the beach. Instantly I was out the door and stared fascinated at the ocean. The sound of crashing waved and seagulls immediately made their way to my ears and a face splitting grin appeared on my face.
"Are you kidding me?", I heard Nathan complain from behind me and confused I turned around to see what bothered him.
"It didn't look like that on the website." He pulled his phone out of his back pocket and just as he was about to make a call I reached for his hand.
"It's perfect!", I told him and Nathan looked suprised at me. Nevertheless he pocketed his phone again and uncertainly asked me, "Are you sure, because with just a call I'll get us..."
"I'm sure!", I interrupted him midsentence and shot him a beaming smile that made him speechless for a few seconds.
"Here's all I need, you and the ocean."
This sentence earned me a gentle kiss and with Nathan's arm wrapped around me he inhaled deeply. "You're right!"
"So we'll stay?", I asked the hope clear in my voice and Nathan nodded his head.
"We stay."
The cottage was even cozier inside with a kitchen and a livingroom on the ground floor and a master bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor. I Instantly fell in love with the fire place in the living room and the porch out in the back which had a direct view at the ocean.
We quickly brought the groceries and our luggage inside and made quick work with putting away the food and unpacking our luggage.
It seemed to me that with Nathan even mundane tasks were more fun than with any other person and a constant smile was on my lips.
"We've never even been on a date.", Nathan suddenly wondered out loud.
"Before we start anything I can't finish, how about you go take a shower and when you come downstairs I'll have dinner ready."
I nodded my head agreeing with his suggestion and Nathan hurried out the door leaving me giddy with excitement. I was more thrilled about our date than I had thought.
I took my time in the bathroom, shaving body parts and even applying a bit of make up. I chose to wear a white dress, but also took a knitted sweater with me downstairs.
As I was walking down the stairs I felt myself trembling and my nerves started to rise. I knew that it was because of a joyful reason, but I had no idea why I was still feeling like this especially when Nathan had showed me again and again how much I meant to him.
Downstairs I sucked in a deep breath and smelt the spaghetti sauce cooking on the stove. However, my eyes were locked on my handsome mate who quickly closed the distance between us as soon as he had noticed me.
"You look gorgeous.", Nathan told me huskily and leaned in to kiss me. His kiss consumed me, leaving me breath- and thoughtless.
He smirked knowing exactly what he was doing to me and loving it. Nathan pulled me towards a table and pushed the chair out for me to sit on.
