"Hey, every time I come here with Lia," that's one of Cooper's nicknames for Ophelia, "I get hit on. So can one of you two be my fake girlfriend?" Cooper asked, looking at Evie and I in the rearview mirror.
I looked over at Evie and she shrugged. "Sure, I'll do it. Sounds like fun." she said and then looked at him, "No kissing," she demanded.
"What you don't like my kissing?" Cooper asked, smirking.
"Never kissed you, so I'm going to say no." She smiled. "Just be lucky that I'm agreeing to be your fake girlfriend."
"I know, thank you, Evie. You're the best." Cooper assured.
"I know right," Evie said as she flipped her hair over her shoulder. "Tell me something I don't know." I laughed at her as Lia and I played Tic-Tac-Toe on my phone.
By the time we got to Chuck E Cheese's, Ophelia beat me 10-7. Most of those points she got on her own, two of them I gave her. I told her whoever won had to play Pat-a-Cake with a random person. I don't normally trick her but I really didn't want to do anything at Chuck E Cheese's to draw attention to myself.
"Haha, Briar! I won!" Pretending to be beaten and sad, I unbuckled her from her car seat.
"I just thought of something..." Jayden trailed.
"What Jayden?" I asked, continuing to take Lia out of her seat and onto my hip.
"I don't have a fake girlfriend." He pouted as he pointed at Cooper and Evie fingers interlaced. "Wanna be my fake girlfriend?" Jayden asked, his ears perking up as he smirked at me.
"Uh, no." I stated walking towards the doors.
"Oh, come on!" He whined.
"Jayden, you should know better than anyone that begging won't get you anywhere," I said as I waited for him to open the door for me.
"I figured it was worth a shot," He shrugged holding the door open.
Once we got our black light stamps, or "invisible" stamps as Ophelia calls them, I took Lia with Jayden and I to find a table while Cooper and Evie went to order food.
"Why can't I see the stamps?" she asked, examining her hand.
"Because you can only see it under a special light." I explained.
"Why?"
"Because of the special ink they use."
"What special ink?"
"Uh... a kind that is invisible to everyone unless under a light called a black light."
