Chapter 20 novel The Destined Alpha
We sang it twice in a row and when we finished we laughed.
"Levi!" I heard an older guy call.
"I gotta go, it was nice meeting you..." the boy named Levi said as he waited for my name.
"Ophelia, but my friends call me Lia." I smiled. "Thanks for playing with me. It was fun." We both stood up and he was about to walk away when a tall guy walked up behind Levi.
"Levi, who's this?" He asked, kneeling down to Levi's height.
"My new friend, Ophelia." Levi said. The guy looked up and smiled at me. I looked at him and then remembered. I grabbed my cup and gasped.
"Cookie!" I screamed, as I turned around and ran to Briar.
"Wait! Lia!" Levi screamed running after me.
"Briar!" I called out running to my brother and his friends.
{Briar's POV}
I was laughing at a joke Cooper told us, when Lia ran up calling my name. She jumped up and over Jayden to get to me. I looked behind her and saw a little curly-haired boy with chocolate skin following her.
"Ophelia, what's wrong?" I asked.
"I found Cookie. He is here." She said in between breaths.
"Huh?" I asked glancing at the table for help. They shrugged, just as confused as I.
"Lia, why did you just call my brother Cookie?" The little boy asked, leaning over Jayden and touching her foot and looked at her in a... concerned way. Jayden looked at everyone with his eyebrows scrunched up, confused as to why there are two children all over him.
"Because that's his name!" Lia exclaimed as she jumped back down from my lap and stood next to the little boy who seemed about five inches taller than her, Ophelia is about 3'3" feet tall. Cooper looked so embarrassed of his sister.
"My sister has officially gone bonkers." Cooper sighed.
"I have not! I'm not crazy! I saw him," She stomps her foot. "Just like you said, He's tall, at least 6 foot, with gorgeous dark chocolate skin and the sharpest jawline you've ever seen!" She explained, anger rising in her as her little face tinted red.
"Phea, do you even know how 6 feet is?" Jayden teased her. She looked at him and growled.
"Ophelia, his name is Chase," The little boy said looking down at her confused. As if on cue, a tall guy ran around the corner, panting.
My jaw dropped when he turned the corner. That was when all of Lia's rambling made sense. He wore a black tee with a grey zip up hoodie with the sleeves pulled to his elbows. He spotted his brother and then his eyes grew and he mumbled something. I looked at Evie and her jaw was dropped as well. I lightly shoved Jayden to move. He stood up and I scooted out of the booth standing in front of him.
"Oh, Cookie," I said blushing.
