The Rejected Phoenix novel Chapter 12

Chapter twelve.

Subtitle : she hates her brother

** general POV ***

Due to Melanie  showing up in the picture things were shifted.

The Starzeal  pack who had planned to go to the crescent moon pack on the day of the mating ceremony  shifted their schedules.

Since they had a powerful phoenix to back their pack up they needn't to attend the trianing late.

Warriors were assembled and the journey was taken upon by them.

Melanie couldn't help but get more excited as they drew nearer and nearer to her former pack.

It's not being up to a week and she's already back now.

She didn't feel Any feeling of rejection or anything but rather felt excited for what was going to happen.

*** Melanie's  POV***

The air breezed my long red hair as I flew though the clouds.

I was literally  excited  for the visit to my old cruel pack.

Latisha was left to trail behind me.

Although the clouds blocked my eyesight a little it wasn't a problem since I had an advance level of eyesight.

"slow down Melanie.  Your too fast, the others are like two kilometres behind. Where are you rushing to exactly?"

Latisha asked me through our mind linked as she hissed angrily at me.

"a girl got to fly you know.  I haven't being a phoenix for long so I'm savouring the feelings.  Besides, I need to streghtened my self more on the flying aspect.  Am not that good."

I muttered and glanced back at her as she struggled to keep up with my speed.

"seriously I'm done with you!  Can't you be a little bit more polite.  Or do you plan on reaching the pack before the others? "

Latisha grossed  back.

I slowed down a hit and dived downwards with full speed.

"Latisha I need you to connect our eyesights and show me where Charlie and the rest are! "

I ordered and Latisha dived downwards also in the matter of seconds.

My eyes where connected to that of Latisha.

I could see Charlie running fast through the woods in her wolf form.

The other pack members too were in their wolf form and I most confess,Cole's wolf is really large.

It was almost five feet tall and was a shimmering black shiny wolf.

I admired it for a moment before landing  on the ground with a soft sound from my sandals.

I immediately shifted to my human form and waited for the wolves to catch up with me.

I had already reached the border.

It took them like ten minutes, l to catch up with me

"why are you guys so slow..  I hate slowpokes"

I cooed annoyed as soon as they showed up one after the other.

I heard Cole hissed as he shifted back to his human form and disappeared behind a bush in a swift.

A guard followed behind him with some clothes.

Charlie also went to change and they were both back a few munites later.

Coke ttjrew his arms around my shoulders and I cringed and looked at him.

"what are you up to poke.  Let go of me! "

I snapped and shoved his hands off.

"were friends for crying out loud.  You should stop being a grumpy and annoying phoenix and behave like an ally.  Don't act weak in front of your savage mate. "

He muttered and winked at me.

I hissed and looked at him.

"I'm not a toddler anynymore. I'm here to ruin him not to be friends with him.  No never!"

I snapped.

Cole. Smirked  and rubbed my hair.

"don't get too jealous when you see him with his new mate.. You know the mate bond is still there so it has a huge affect you even  if it doesn't affect him right? "

Coles asked.

I smiled at him ruelfully.

"I don't care.  But he can't get mated and happy when I'm still alive.

I'll make him regret ever hurting me.. "

I snapped.

"okay.. "

Cole sighed.

We began walking towards the border  of the pack where we were supposed to meet with the members of the crescent moon pack.

As we approached the border I could see my own dear brother Jaxon standing amongst five other pack members whom I didn't recognise.

I felt a tinge of hurt in my heart as I stared at him.

We walked towards us with medium speed and soon reached where they were.

"you made it on time.  Welcome to our pack buddy! "

Jaxon greeted and gave Cole a hug.

They seemed like acquaintances who knew each other for long.

I and Charlie where standing besides Cole  but it was as if we weren't there..

Didn't he recognise me?

"your being silly man.  This ain't the first time in coming to your pack.  Why make it formal?  By the way where's that meat head of a king?  I missed his shifting ceremony.  I'll definitely  be bashed by him. "

I heard Cole talked back to Jaxon with so much ease and familiarity.

"he's busy with his mating ceremony  stuffs.  So I came to welcome you in his place.  You can bring your men along to the pack house.  There are designated rooms for you guys. We should hang out for some beer later on, what do you think?"

Jaxon asked and threw his arms around Cole's shoulders as they walked ahead.

We figured out we should tag along so we followed behind them.
