The Rejected Phoenix novel Chapter 9

Chapter nine.

Subtitle:  burn to ashes.

** general POV **

Right before my eyes I watched as the old yet elegant castle lighted up to live.

It was as if a broken  palace in ruins have suddenly  came to live and it was amazing.

The large rusty rocks that were used to build the walls began to glow,  the chandelier in the room they were in began to burn brightly and lights that were hidden before shunned brightly.

It was a gloriousoment for the new phoenix princess who was still in so much away of what was happening.

"it seems our palace is coming to live.  Too bad we don't have any villagers to stay with us or even people around.. "

Latisha's  voice was excited yet disappointed.

Melanie sighed.

"let's take a look at the whole palace. "

Melanie suggested and they began the quest with Latisha hanging on Melanie's shoulders like a parrot.

As they surveyed the whole palace they came across many things of etiquette  that not even the werewolf and human world have.

The Phoenix palace itself was a bedrock of elegance.

It was as if a whole mesuem was planted there.

Outside the palace Melanie's jaws almost dropped.

The sight was killing.

The old dreaded desert was not lovely as some of it had flowers growing and blooming.

As she walked around she came across a fountain and a wet bathe pool.

It was the most beautiful palace she had ever seen.

She yelled in glee and jumped up.

"why don't we try flying and get a better glimpse of our territory? "

Latisha asked and Melanie nodded.

Within seconds they had both transformed into large phoenix birds and we're both soaring the high sky like no other.

They got to see many other vast awaken places in the Phoenix barren desert that was now awaken.

It was official.

The new phoenix princess was undeed a powerful one who could awaken the whole phoenix palace which many other former queens could not.

She was really destined for greatness,  but that greatness must come with sacrifices pains and mixed emotions.

As the two birds landed back on their feet in front of the small garden at the back of the palace,melanie was all smiles as Latisha  stood back on her shoulders.

"you should probably invite your friends and family over here for a while.  It won't be so great to live in such wonderful place alone. "

Latisha said to Melanie.

Immediately  her face dropped.

"uuuuh...  Did I say something  wrong? "

Latisha asked as she noticed the sullen look on Melanie's face.

"I have no family...  Before Iame here everyone hated me.  I only have aother who cares for me.

Even my mate who happens to be the powerful wolf king rejected me for being weak... I also have a new friend who helped me out when I was in trouble a day ago..  I remembered  she told me she was in trouble and was a wanted criminal so she's couldnt take me with her...  I'd like to find her and let her live with me...  If also like to bring my mom here.. "

Melanie explained to her new bird.

Latisha understood  the feelings,she softly patted Melanie on the shoulders with her feather.

"then why are we still here...  Let's go get them!  I'd like to see more of this burger city though! "

Latisha was an excited glee bird as it flew ahead of Melanie who laughed and turned into her bird form, following  after her.

"she's probably still in the woods if those looking for her haven't found her yet. "

Melanie laughed,  she was referring  to Charlie.

** Alpha Ryker's POV **

The throne room was filled to the brim with elders and members of the council.

We were currently discussing of the sudden attack made to our nearby ally pack.

"this Is a serious case.  The unknown witch had withstandingly wiped out an entire pack of seventy members in a minute. We can't underestimate her...  We should join forces with nearby packs and start training the soldiers more...."

Desmond Linn  who was the chief adviser and beta to the former Alpha and also Melanie's father made his vouch.

"I agree with his suggestion.  With joined forces we can take down the evil once and for All,  we are already loosing A lot of wolves to the witches.. "

Another elder advices.

All eyes turned to the throne were the alpha king sat.. 

They were all waiting  for him to speak up.

"I have listened to all your suggestions and I think they are all good and the best thing to do at this moment.  We would need a strong army to fight against the witches and we need it as soon as possible.

I will have words send to the nearby ally packs to give out fifty warriors each as volunteer for the training. We would also be sending  along an invitation to my mating ceremony which will be held in ten full moons. "

I spoke out with authority.

Every one chanted and congratulate me on finding a powerful mate.

I could see my father give me a thumbs up.

I smiled back and returned his gesture with a smile.

"send the orders immediately! "
