My two best servants join me in my queen’s quarters before just like we had agreed. Half of the palace hasn’t woken up yet.

“Is the human still in your quarter?” I demand

“Yes your Majesty, Keira is still sleeping” Lisa affirms while Helen nods her head in agreement.

“Then go alert my loving husbands of my missing ring.” I direct

Both of my compliant servants rush out, eager to fulfill my orders. I have no doubt that they will deliver the news in the most chilling genius Keira will be dragged to the palace cells or worse to the gallows.

Only a few minutes pass before my husbands burst into my room, their eyes filled with concern. I run to them and they take me into their strong arms, just like they did last night.

I am confused for a moment. I didn’t think they would question a word I say.

“Keira is the one with the habit of stealing, your majesty.” Helen saves me the trouble of thinking too much.

“She took it from your hand?” The one on my right side asks.

“No. I had taken it off last night. That’s the time she must have stolen it” I answer. Why on earth are they asking so many questions like they don’t

-They turn towards the servant quarters and I follow. We walk into the small room with four beds and I immediately spot the one with my human servant Apparently the sleeps with her entire body under the covers, like a tortoise.

One of my husbands strides forward and pulls back the covers. A heap of old and wrinkled clothes lies underneath the blankets, but Keira’s fragile human form is nowhere in sight

I walk forward and overturn her pillows. A gasp escapes my mouth when I fail to see my ring. It was supposed to be right here under the pillows.

“She ran away with the ring Helen exclaims, affirming my fears.

“You fools You told me she was still asleep?” I yell at my idiotic servants, rage taking over my mind and body. Can they have revealed our plan to

“Did someone put the ring under the pillows?” The other asks 

“No, your Majesty, Lisa’s mind is just too tired since yesterday’s party” Helen answers.

“We should be searching for Keira before she gets away with my diamond ring!” I snap and they nod in agreement.

Right, we shall ring the palace hell so that every guard can start searching for her. The angel in a white coat states.
