Margaret walks in and sets down a shimmering blue dress and a matching necklace on the bed next to me.

“Another gift from your loving mates. They want your beauty to shine in tonight’s feast just like your courage shone in the battlefield,” she excitedly reports.

The ornate dress and the necklace have more diamonds than any of the outfits I have seen queen Lyna wearing. Hopefully it’s not hers. She wouldn’t hesitate to say so during the feast if she will be there..

She lost her favourite servant and probably her mate too. She will be extremely bitter.

I would refuse to attend if only it isn’t during the feast that I am supposed to receive my reward for winning the tournament. 1 am the first human to ever do so. And so many Royals will be there to witness it.

The angel kings put two gigantic guards in front of my room like they expect my to run away before marrying them. There is clearly no peace with them as long as I haven’t made the wish to ensure they won’t lose their strength or powers.

“Michael told me about the stone.” Margaret says, sounding upset. “He said that you’re the only one that can use it. Why didn’t you tell us?”

“I didn’t want to sound mad and lose my only friends,” I defend.

“That’s a bit true,” she admits with a chuckle. “I would have ran to the kings and told them that you have lost your mind.”

Glad I didn’t tell them. They trust the kings too much to believe that there is a secret Dreamstone in the dead queen’s chambers.

Margaret takes a seat by my side. “I know that I already asked a great favour from you. But I would rather you wish that I get a wolf than you give me a better job,” she says,

I didn’t know she was so uncomfortable being human. Sounds like I am the only one that thinks I can manage.

“I would like you to have a wolf, but unfortunately the Dreamstone belongs to the angel kings. I am not at liberty to use it to make any wish. 1 point.

She doesn’t seem convinced.

“Michael said that the kings would do anything for you. They cannot deny you such a little favour,” she stubbornly argues.

“I know what is possible and what is not. Margaret. The angel kings have their own wishes that they want me to make. And that’s it, I say and she sighs in disappointment.

I cannot do her such favours when my mates will demand something else from me in return. I need my freedom to leave their kingdom

“My relationship with Michael would be so much better if I had a wolf, Margaret tells in a sad tone.

“What’s not good enough?” I ask.

The sex… I think. It would be a lot more pleasurable if I had a wolf, she nervously answers.

“How much more do you want since I think you two must be having enougn?” I ask.

“If I had a wolf our bond would be stronger. And so would be the attraction,” she replies.

I used a spell to withhold the bond between me and the angels. Perhaps that’s the reason I do not understand her. “Let’s get you ready to attend the feast before it gets too late. you’re the main guest, remember to take care,” she reminds.

I pick up the dress and quickly change. Margaret helps me style my hair until it hides the bruise on my neck. I wonder if my mates will be taking back the expensive dress and necklace after the party. The two must have cost more than the reward I am about to get.

Queen Lyna’s Pov

My mate finally wakes, groaning like a pig. He clutches the wound on the right side of his chest and winces.

“What happened to me?” he asks, looking around the room in confusion.

“You allowed a human girl to beat you in front of an entire arena. That’s what happened,” Lady Doria mockingly answers.

I am sure she wants him to feel angry so that he will agree to help us. But I am sure he loves me enough to do anything I ask if

His reputation is more ruined than mine right now. People will be mocking him and I am not sure his pack will want him back

“We are here to offer you a chance to prove that you’re not as useless as she made you look,” she says.

He curses loudly. I wish she had killed me. It’s better than this shame.

He eagerly nods. But his excitement suddenly fades. “I am supposed to leave this kingdom after today since I am a foreigner.”

“Queen Lyna and I have figured out a way to grant you stay. But you both must attend tonight’s feast, Lady Doria says in a

strict tone.

“You do see that I am in pain and you want me to go watch the girl that beat me get rewarded?” my mate shorts.

“Would you prefer to return to Redmoon pack and forever live with the shame of losing to a human?” Lady Doria angrily questions.

My mate takes time to mull over his options. “I can hardly walk. You will have to get me someone to help me get to the hall.” he grudgingly says.

I step out of the room to look for a servant to help my mate get to banquet hall before the feast starts. We will have to watch Keira get heavily rewarded by my rich husbands. Every second of it will hurt like a knife slicing my heart. I wish I can stop it from happening.
