'Yaps.'

'Seriously?'

'I'm as serious as chocolate sprinkles.'

'No. Just no.' He laughs.

'Anyway what reason must you have to interrupt my first date?'

He opens the mind link so Austin can hear us, he gives me a strange look but I shrug it off.

'You have to get home, orders from Jace, Liz, Kate and Dylan. You have to get ready for the ceremony.'

'Oh okay be there soon.'

"Let's go." Austin says intwining our fingers together.

We arrive back to the academy in record time, only to be dragged off by our friends. We didn't even get a second glance at each other.

'Sorry.' I say.

'It's okay babe, see you soon.'

I sigh as the girls force me into the shower. I get under the warm water and wash my scalp feeling every problem wash away, today is going to be perfect.

I hear the girls banging on the door for me to hurry up and sigh loudly, is get out of the shower and wrap my body in a fluffy white towel.

I start towel drying my hair when I see something glistening on my windowsill, I notice the window open and I feel like my heart is going to rip out of my ribcage.

I step closer cautiously and see it's a locket. I gasp, it's the locket I keep seeing in my dreams. Either it's bouncing off the leaves in the forest or drowning in water.

I pick it up and turn it around, on the back it reads.

'To Maia, we love you. From your parents.'

I drop the locket as though it burned me and felt the tears in my eyes. My parents? Jace's parents? I look to the windowsill and see a note.

'This was left for you but the orphanage refused to give it to you. I got it back and thought it was perfect for the day you are introduced as official Luna.'

I wipe the few tears from my eyes and smile, this person dos all this for me? Wow I feel so loved, aha.

"Come in!" I shout looking to see Jet open the door, I smile at him as his eyes widen.

"Wow you look amazing Maia!" He exclaims giving me a look over and I laugh, clapping my hands together. Then he makes his best posh voice and says with a bow "I'm here to escort you to the ceremony."

"We'll see you there Maia." The girls say before leaving me with Jet who is smiling like a weirdo.

"Come on then Jet! We have a ceremony to get to!" I say linking my arm with his then he leads me down the long corridors and stairs.

We head towards the 'party field' which is where a large stage is placed and it is where we have all our parties. Hence the name...

Jet leads me backstage where is stand behind the curtain ready to walk on, I'm glad I can see the stage though.

"I have to go join the crowd now, I'll be over there on the side so I can see you. Don't move from here." Jet says before disappearing, I turn back to the stage and breath deeply.

Suddenly all the lights around he audience go off and the stage lights up. I look around quickly and see Austin walking onto the stage form the opposite side.

'Good luck Mai!' Tyson whispers through mind link.

'Break a leg lil' sis, please don't actually break your leg though! Anyway good luck!' Jace says and I see him looking at me from behind Austin along with Dylan.
