"Yeah, those were the good old days right." I say laughing as I sit on the grassy ground followed by Tyson.

"You always use to tell me and Ethan all the constellations you could see, even if we couldn't see them we would still say we could." He says pointing at one that I had told him was my favourite.

After a few minutes of silence I decide to break it.

"Thank you Tyson." I whisper looking up at the bright moon beaming down on us. He looks at me strangely.

"For what?" He asks.

"Being here for me. It means a lot considering how much is happening at the moment." I say and he hugs me.

"That's okay Maia, I'll always be here for you. Always." He says and I sigh rather loudly into his shoulder.

"Luna." A very deep masculine voice says and I look up to see one of the warrior men standing there. "Alpha wants you."

"Okay." I say and stand up, wiping off all the dirt from my bum. Tyson stands up with me and we walk back out to the field. Everyone is starting to dance to the music now.

"Maia!" Austin shouts coming towards me, as soon as I was close enough he picks me up and spins me around.

"Hey, sorry I left. Tyson wanted to talk." I say but when I turn back I see Tyson walking off into the large crowd.

"It's okay." He says lending his forehead against mine "I just got worried because I didn't know where you had gone."

"Next time I'll tell you okay?" I say kissing his jaw. He chuckles and we start to dance to the music, I get spun around and can't help but laugh.

"Austin. Maia." Jace shouts stopping our dance. He looks worried and on edge. "My parents are here."

I stiffen at those words, this was it. I am meeting my real parents.

I sit on the swing in the woods watching the fireflies floating through the darkness. They are so free, don't have people constantly on their backs or secrets they have to keep no matter how hard they are to keep.

I'm currently feeling overwhelmed, everything that just happened is playing over and over in my head.

25 minutes earlier...

"It can't be." Dad says quietly as he steps closer, I instinctively take a step back making Austin growl warningly at my dad.

I feel the tears in my eyes as I look over my parents, I'm so much like them it's scary. I have my dads hair colour but my mom skin tone and my dads eye colour.

I turn around and race towards the woods, allowing myself to flick of my shoes not caring where they land. I run until I come across a swing, I sit down trying to catch my breath.

I look around and see fireflies everywhere and the wind slowly blowing the leaves on the trees, everything here is so full of life especially in the dark.

I hear a twig snap and look in the direction of the noise, the tears escaping blur my vision but I know it's Austin. I give him a small smile.

"Hey Maia," he says picking my up and sitting down then placing me on his lap "don't worry it's okay."

"No it's not, I don't like this. Why couldn't my life of just been simple or why couldn't I of refused the offer to come here and stayed there." I cry into his shoulder, a growl escapes his lips and I look up at his face as he looks down at me.
