"I want more than 2 I know that, I've found the man I love so we can have as many as we want. And what's with 'our' name? We aren't married yet." I laugh flicking his cheek making him chuckle.

"Yet." He emphasises and before I could answer he leans in breathing over my lips making me swallow my answer.

"Yet." I repeat and connect our lips.

I step into the kitchen in my grey joggers and Austin's blue hoodie. My white converse rapping the floor as I walk to the island, Austin stands over the stove making some pancakes.

"You love pancakes don't you?" I say smiling as he piles loads onto a plate.

"Well duh!" He says dumping the frying pan into the kitchen sink then brings the plate of pancakes and 2 other plated over.

He sits on the stool next to me and places a pancake on my plate then 3 on his. He quickly digs in after putting on some toppings.

I put some Nutella and banana on mine and eat it all feeling my stomach rumbling hungrily. I plate up a few more and eat them quickly not leaving anything on my plate.

"Someone's hungry after last night." Austin jokes as his face hovers next to mine and kisses my nose. Why do I love that so much?

"Shut up!" I say blushing but he kisses my cheek making me smile wider.

"Hey guys." A familiar masculine voice says, I turn around and hug him tightly.

"Jace!" I say and he hugs me back "where have you been?"

"I've been looking after the pack and also I have been trying to calm our parents down. They have been going crazy after you got back, we had to practically tie dad down because he was going to hunt down the hunters." Jace laughs taking a seat on the stool beside my former one, I decide to take a seat and Austin immediately puts an arm around me.

"Oh gosh, I need to speak with them. They will ground me for the rest of my life." I say and try to get up, key word: try. Austin growls in warning making me confused.

'Don't move.' He says huskily through mind-link, I look at him and see his eyes are almost pitch black. I freeze at his next few words 'Your in heat.'

I seriously cannot catch a break.

Nothing seriously bad is happening so why not? But I don't think Austin is quite ready for this, with Alpha duties and those hunters he is going out of his mind.

A baby oils add to that stress. I cannot put him through that no matter how much I would like it.

"Austin, I-I know it'll be fine." I say gritting my teeth.

"I would love kids, you know that Maia. But I don't think your ready for it yet, you've been through so much." He says worriedly but stops when I cry out loudly when a sharp pain goes through my side.

Suddenly all the pain dies down but the heat stays, that didn't feel like heat.

"That wasn't heat." I say my thoughts aloud.

"No it wasn't." Austin says "I just mind-linked the doctor to come over and check on you because that was weird."

5 minutes later Doctor John walks in, I'm now laying under the bed covers with Austin sitting on the edge of the bed tapping his feet on the floor.
