I enter without knocking like usual considering it is technically my office as well, I have my own desk too. It's opposite Jace's and next to Austin's.

I notice Austin standing by an open window looking out with a smile gracing his lips, I walk over to him and wrap my arms around his waist.

He puts his arm around my back and sighs, I glance up at his face and frown. He looks worried and stressed.

"We have to leave in an hour." He says looking down and meeting my eyes, I nod and huff quietly when he lets go of me and sits on his chair behind his large desk.

He opens his arms and I willingly step into them, I sit on his lap and he holds me close to him, I bring my knees up to my chest as I lean against his solidness.

"It'll be fine Aus." I say rubbing his chest smoothly. I let my hand wonder just under his shirt, I smirk when he shivers.

"In just so stressed out Maia, anything could happen. We are off our own pack territory. There could be hunters or rogues anywhere ready to attack us and I can't lose you again." He says running his hand through his hair.

"Everything will be fine. Don't worry about me." I say biting my lip, removing my hand.

"I always worry about you." He says in a whisper before placing a kiss on my forehead then my nose "anyway you wanted to tell me something."

"Uh..." I get stuck and my mind goes blank, he is stressed out enough. Maybe I should tell him after the alpha party or on the way? "It can wait."

"Only if your sure babe." Austin replies resting his head on mine and softly caressing my stomach, it's become a habit of his that I've noticed.

"I'm sure." I whisper against his chest not wanting to move from this spot but it all ends when a guard walks in.

"The men have all the bags and are ready to go." He says then leaves quickly as he has done his job.

"Well we better get going, it's a long run ahead of us." Austin says standing up very closely making sure to help me stand with him and not throw me off.

I open my mouth ready to tell him and he looks at me with an eyebrow raised, then my dad bursts in looking murderous. I freeze when his eyes glance down at me and he calms down.

'Have you told him?' My fathers voice echoes in my head, I mentally curse my mom for telling him but she was super excited.

"I will bro," Caleb says with a million dollar smile plastered on his cute face "sorry Maia."

"It's fine." I say giving him a smile, he bows his head then walks over to the rest of the guards.

Here we go.

I stand next to Austin as he explains what's happening to everyone. I'm completely blanking everyone out and planning what I'm going to do.

How am I going to tell Austin? We are about to start our 3 day journey and I still haven't told Austin. I've started telling him a few times but keep getting interrupted.

"So," I start listening to the last part of Austin's instructions "to repeat for those late. We will rest once night time is fallen each day and wake up just after dawn. There will be 4 on guard throughout the night, you all know your shifts. We will be in wolf form the entire time so we are more aware of any dangers. If there is any danger you will all protect your Luna and make sure she escapes safely."

I let out a small huff, he sometimes treats me like I'm completely useless and can't protect myself. I could take him down if I really tried.
