Jacob had habitually called her Mrs. Harrison, only realizing mid–sentence that they were divorced and her title needed to change. 

Charlotte’s eyelashes trembled as she replied, “Alright.” 

After hanging up, Jacob turned to the handsome man seated in the office chair and said, “Mr. Harrison, Ms. Hardwick will be here shortly.” 

“Has our divorce been finalized?” Arthur asked coldly. 

“No…” 

“Then what should you call her?” 

Jacob immediately bowed and apologized sincerely, “I’m sorry. I understand now.”
