After Kelvin dropped Alisha off in front of her house, an extremely happy Alisha ran inside her house and headed straight to her room. She packed a bag of her clothes which included some gowns and her pyjamas, few high heels, plucked her toiletries from her restroom and headed out of her room.

"And where do you think that you're going?" A familiar voice said.

Alisha stopped on her track and dropped her bag shockingly.

"Oh, mom, you're home?" she said.

"Yes I am" Alisha's mother said as she sat up on the couch "Where are you going?"

"Seriously mom, I was planning to call you." she said sadly. "I thought you aren't home."

"So...?"

"I am planning to sleep over at Mindy's house."

"Why?" Alisha's mother asked curiously since she knew that Alisha wasn't that found of sleeping over at her friend's houses.

Because, we have a lot of things to talk about. I'm super excited right now, Kelvin asked me to go to a party with him. She thought and smiled at her mother before saying. "Because tomorrow is a public holiday and I want to spend it with her."

"Okay." her mother said in understanding and smiled back at her.

"Okay mom. I will see you on Sunday."

"Alright."

Alisha bent down and carried the bag that she had dropped shockingly the other time and started heading out of the house but she had only taken four steps when her mother's voice stopped her again.

"Alisha."

"Ma." she replied and turned around.

"And who was that guy that dropped you off?"

Kelvin. Kelvin McSmith. Alisha thought and blushed. "A friend."

"Okay, but is there anything that I'm supposed to know about him?"

"Nah. He is just a friend, mom."

The reason why Alisha didn't tell her mother about Kelvin wasn't because she didn't want to tell her but because she had no idea how to tell her mom about who Kelvin was to her. She was sure that the last thing her mother wanted to hear right now was her being in a fake relationship after her attempted suicide.

"Okay." her mother nodded "Have a nice weekend."

"You too."

She headed out of her house and boarded a taxi.

"Oh... Alisha." Mindy said as she hugged her friend dearly. "If you have told me, I would have come to pick you up myself."

"I wanted to surprise you." Alisha said as they released themselves.

"You won then." Mindy smiled, collected her bag and headed straight to her own apartment which was formerly her brother's.

"Wow Mindy, this is beautiful." Alisha said as she looked around the beautiful duplex.

"Stop. It's not as if this is your first time here."

"But this is the first time that I'll be seeing the house with new colors and new arts. You did a really good job."

"Whatever." Mindy rolled her eyes "So, what do you want to eat?"

"Spaghetti and soda."

"Okay. Feel at home. I'll be right back." Mindy said as she headed to her kitchen.

"What are these?" Mindy said shockingly as she plucked the gowns out of Alisha's bag. She had just wanted to help her to get her pyjamas out.

"Gowns." Alisha replied as if it wasn't too obvious.

"Of course, I know they are gowns" Mindy said as she dropped the heaviest one on the bed "but why do you need these gowns? What are they for?"

Alisha sat on the bed carelessly and smiled at Mindy "Kelvin asked me to go to a birthday with him."

"Really?" Mindy said surprisingly "Oh my gosh. Alisha, you're blushing."

"Am I?"

"Of course, you're." Mindy moved closer and said quietly. "Are you in love with him?"

"No." Alisha replied slowly.

"That's a lie." Mindy said and smiled "Alisha, you're in love with Kelvin and I'm sure as hell that he is in love with you too."
