Melody spoke briefly with Felicia before leading the children away with jeremy.

It wasn’t her place to discuss the matter, so she could only quietly let go of her frustration when he refused to visit the orphanage that day.

Melody frowned instinctively. “How can that be? Did you try to convince him?” 

Her first reaction was purely from a medical standpoint, focused on the patient’s well–being-

Her delicate face clearly showed her disapproval. Her fine brows were furrowed while he looked concemed. 

He looked away, returning his attention to his phone, but something felt strange. 

The discomfort in his chest had been replaced by a different sensation–the swelling feeling wast there, but it was no longer unpleasant, and he didn’t mind it.
