EZEKIEL
Eight years ago…
“No, I won’t apologize.” I grumbled walking away from my father’s office.
“EZEKIEL!”
Clenching my fists, I stop in my tracks and make a hundred-eighty degree turn, facing my dad who shot me a stern look from his office table.
“What?” I ask, biting back my own tears and frustration as I stared at him.
Dad wants me to apologize to that fucking bastard. Tyler.
I was going to kill him, but my father had suddenly appeared and shielded that lucky pervert. When he should've been there protecting me.
My father didn't see it but even if he did, I doubt he would actually do anything to help me anyway.
Tyler was my friend. Until one day, he invited me for a drive, saying he wanted to introduce me to some of his friends. He drove me deeper into the forest. I wondered why but I kept quiet. After all, I trusted him.
An hour and a half later we arrived at a run-down house where I met ten more of his so called ‘friends’. Turns out he didn't take me there to party.
He took me there so he could fuck me with his friends. They each took turns on fucking my ass while four people held me down ass up on the ground. Before they did it, they injected something in my body and I fell on the ground. I wanted to shift, I tried, but couldn't. Whatever they injected in my body, it weakened me to a point I can no longer fight back.
Tyler planned it all. That piece of shit who promised my father to protect me as my future beta.
It was nothing but a big, fat joke.
“Of all people, why did you attack your own fucking beta? Were you planning to kill him?!”
“YES! Yes I wanted to kill him, but that’s because—“
“ENOUGH! Tyler told me everything he learned about you. You like boys, huh?”
My eyes widened and I glare at him right after I fully understood what’s going on.
“Dad, listen. That’s—“
“That’s why when he rejected you, you decided to beat him up, correct?”
I gritted my teeth and just stopped talking. What’s the point? He wouldn’t listen. He never does.
I look at him straight in the eye and asked, “You believe him?”
“Drop it, Zeke. There were TEN witnesses. How could you do that to your own future beta?”
Staring at him with ny mouth agape, I clenched my fists by my sides. My face burning in pure, burning hatred.
“If you like Tyler so much, why don’t you ask him to be your son?” I say in a sarcastic manner before whirling around and storming towards the door.
However, the moment I took a step forward, my father appeared and blocked the door with lightning speed.
“All I’m asking is for you two to get along. You're taking over the pack in less than ten years. How could you lead the pack if you can’t command your own beta just because you’re gay?” He grabs my shirt, but I immediately pull away.
“You’ll never understand.” I growl, wanting to shove him away and get the hell out of his office.
No one will understand. Tyler’s betrayal had turned me into a brutal, cold person I never was before. He’d made me realize there is no such thing as kindness in this cruel world.
Only hatred.
“If you don’t accept my terms, then I no longer have a son.” He spat and I froze.
My eyes are burning in rage and hatred for the man who calls himself a father. Not even knowing the truth about what had happened.
“Fine.” I say coldly and left.
“DON’T YOU EVER COME BACK! You’ll never become Alpha, not as long as I am here!” He spats behind me.
I smirked and marched my way out of the room.
Three years later, I’ve been living my life as a rogue. It was hard, I can tell you that.
I’ve learned more things about rogues than you could imagine. First, rogues aren’t really that aggressive, or should I say, wild. They live alone in the woods either because they were banished or chose to leave their pack. Some of these rogues were molested like I once was, some were forced to leave out of their will because of danger or threat to their lives, while others simply didn’t get along with the rest of the pack.
They were shunned and became outcasts, but packs continue to label them as rogues.
The rogues helped me quite a lot. From sharing their food to the clothes and shelter, they gave me a fresh new start. And it was when I met Coby and Zack that I finally felt safe with someone I could truly trust.
I told them what had happened to me and about Tyler. Their eyes had turned pitch black as their faces darkened on the verge of shifting into their wolves. They wanted to kill him, and that’s when I found my true beta and gamma for my pack. Coby and Zack showed me true friendship and proved to me what it’s worth starting over.
That is why asking them to be part of my pack became nearly impossible. But eventually, I won their trust and promised them the security they want. As I did with the other hundreds of rogues who pledged their loyalty to me as their new Alpha.
Seeing that we have all been cast to the shadows and stripped of our right to belong, we named our own pack, Shadow Blood Pack.
In the business world, I succeeded and managed to place the second richest to Alpha Alexander of the Red Silverwood Pack. He knew we were a pack of rogues, but he didn’t interfere nor did he ridicule my pack like any of the others.
With Coby and Zack’s continuous support, we increased our resources and built our own empire. We bought a huge piece of land and built everything a pack needs from scratch from a constant supply of resources. In a matter of time, the Shadow Blood pack rose to be one of the richest packs in the United States. Our territory was the second largest to Alexander’s Pack.
It was then that I found out about my father looking for me, saying he wanted me back.
I smirked. Unfortunately, I never wanted to see his face again. He had his chances, yet where was he?
It was raining heavily that day. My head was pounding, and my wolf’s been itching to get out.
I gave in and went outside.
“Zeke!” Turning around, I see Coby rushing over towards me.
