Estelle' POV

Legion?! I looked at the people outside the car in surprise. What did they want? Was it because of me? I was full of questions, but the dangerous and tense atmosphere between Marvin and the man wouldn't allow me to interject.

"We were only given an order to send you there."

"An order? What if I refuse?"

"Then I'll have to take you away by force." The man's cold voice was like he was reporting official business.

Marvin pulled the man's tie through the car window, and I saw a small silver iris embroidery on that tie. The man's head hit the car door. Then Marvin put a dagger to the man's neck with his other hand, "Bastard, let us go." A low growl like a warning came from the man's throat.

Did that mean he's a Clifford? And Nathan grabbed my hand, and he was ready to open the car door and storm out.

But the man with the knife against his neck didn't care. In an instant, he grabbed Marvin's wrist with one hand and took out a syringe with the other hand and stuck it into Marvin's neck. The man's neck was also cut with a deep wound by Marvin's dagger. Soon Marvin slowly lost his strength because of the needle, and closed his eyes.

"What did you hit him with?!" I yelled angrily at the man.

The man covered his neck, and blood was still flowing outward from his fingers. "It's just an anesthetic injection, so you'd better not resist. I was given orders not to harm you." He pointed to the men who had gotten out of the car and we were all surrounded.

Nathan's eyes switched between blue and black as he tried to transform. I broke his shoulders to make him look at me. "Get a hold of yourself, we'll be fine. I know their Alpha."

That silver embroidery made me sure he was Lance's man. But this was something I said with a guilty conscience, although I knew Lance but I was not sure he would not hurt us. But under the urgent scene at the point, if I couldn't calm Nathan down, it would cause more serious consequences.

Nathan's eyes turned back to the same blue color as mine, "You know the Alpha of the Legion?!"

"Yes, I'll explain it to you later."

I opened the car door and the Legion members put us in their car. During the time when we drove all the way towards the Eclipse wolf pack territory, Nathan in the car kept glaring at me. I sighed and slowly explained to him.

"I've only met their Alpha twice."

"You never told us that!"

"Are we any good sisters? I'm not in the habit of sharing secrets."

"But this is about 'Legion'! Where did you meet him?" He lowered his voice, but I thought the people in the front row could hear him just as clearly. But none of them were interested in giving us a look.

"The woods, the woods in their territory." It's the woods every time actually. I didn't know why Lance was always hanging out in the woods in the middle of the night.

"When?" Nathan seemed very curious about the Legion

"I first met him half a month ago." Then he almost killed me, and I swallowed back the second half of the sentence.

"What does he look like?"

"You have so many questions, you'll see them in a minute." I turned my head away to ignore Nathan, whose questions annoyed me even more. I didn't know why Lance had to stop us and take us to his territory. I was all set to forget about him, and he was making me a little flustered.

After passing through layer after layer of inventory, I once again arrived at Lance's territory. The place looked a little more lively during the day, with many children playing on the road. Ordinary werewolf life was quiet, if ignoring the warriors on the street who were dressed all in black and maintained order.

"This is a lot more normal than I thought it would be." Nathan kept looking out, so close he was pressing his face against the car window.
