The two days had gone in a blur with I and Thane spending time together. Although he still had to work but, it wasn't all the time.

We played games to pass time and he thought me how to throw a knife. We talked about stuffs and he was extremely affectionate.

I knew he had not forgotten his ex mate but I was certain he felt something for me. I know I did feel something for him. In fact I had fallen hard. I couldn't explain how I felt but I was happy whenever I saw him and felt butterflies whenever he smiled at him.

I wanted to wake up beside him every morning and hopefully have a family together.

I was starting to feel feverish but the heat had not yet started. I had a cold shower and put on a singlet with shorts. I went to the Kitchen but there was no sign of Thane.

I went out on the porch and called out his name but there was no sign of Thane. I went back to the kitchen to get some water when I saw a post it note on the table.

Had to take care of something quickly. I'll be back soon.

I sighed and dropped the note. I curled up in the couch and went to sleep hoping he'll be back before the heat started fully.

I woke up hot and in pains. I figured Thane wasn't still here because of the pain. I stood but doubled over in pain.

I tried to reach Thane but the link was blocked. I knew if I tried to hard I was going to pass out. I managed to go upstairs and take another shower.

I slumped on the bed, curling in a ball and groaning in pains. I tried to text but I was too weak. I sobbed as I couldn't handle the pain.

I managed to get some sleep for a few hours but the pains woke me up. I screamed for Thane with all my might. My body called out to him. He was the only one who could stop the pain.

I screamed and called but he didn't come. I sobbed into the sheets blaming myself for getting marked and blaming him for marking me. Hell I blamed my mother for birthing me. The pain was becoming unbearable for my lithe body.

I spent the day in pain. Throwing up and passing out. And Thane was nowhere to be seen. The night was a horror. I was alone, in pains and scared.

I woke up a couple of times in the night still hoping he had come back but he still wasn't there.

By morning, I felt better. The worst part of the heat had passed and there was no need to remain in the cabin. I sent a text to Jairus to come get me.

I packed my things and waited outside. When he got there, I gave him a smile and got into the car.

He drove in silence and when we got to the castle. I went straight up to the room to relax. The heat had taken a toll on my body and I needed to relax.

When I woke up, it was dark outside and there was a knock on the door. The door opened and Carlyn stood at the door.

"Hey"

"Hi"

"I didn't know you were sleeping. I can come back later"

"It's fine. I'm awake already"
