Samantha’s POV

Henry carried me over his shoulder as he walked situation. After all the tense days we’d had, it felt wonderful to laugh at his silly antics without worrying about problems and

a man on a mission, the honeymoon mission. I couldn’t help but laugh at the threats.

Finally, I let myself be carried to the car parked in front of the house, watched by the guests who walked behind us, laughing and cheering Henry on.

He set me down, and I burst into another fit of laughter when I saw the car. There was a large sign on the back that read “Just Married” and many tin cans tied to it that would make quite a racket on the streets. White tulle was wrapped around the entire car, with a huge baby’s breath arrangement on the roof. Henry helped me into the car and drove off honking, leaving the commotion behind.

“Now will you finally reveal the honeymoon mystery?” He had been keeping our destination secret, only saying we would spend time just the two of us. He had even packed my suitcase with Melissa’s help.

“No, I’d rather you see it,” he smiled, pleased with keeping his big secret. “Though I’m surprised Enzo didn’t spill the beans with that big mouth of his.”

“You asked Enzo for help?” I laughed at the situation. “No wonder that little rascal has been avoiding me these past few days.”

A few minutes and lots of rattling tin cans later, we arrived at a marina. I looked at Henry in surprise, getting excited about the possibility unfolding before me.

“We’re going to sea?” I asked enthusiastically.

“Since we can only travel for a week, and I plan to spend much of time inside with you, I thought it would be a good idea to cruise along the country’s coast,” Henry said with that naughty look I loved. “What do you think?”

“I think it’s perfect!” I smiled.

“But, Sam, this time we’ll have crew, because I want to have plenty of time for you, so no wearing those tiny bikinis around the yacht,” Henry warned, forgetting he had packed my bag.

“You packed my bag, Henry!” I complained, amused by his words.

“That’s why I’m warning you. I want to see you in those tiny bikinis, but I don’t want anyone else to,” Henry smiled, and I couldn’t help but laugh with him.

“What a jealous husband!” I teased.

“You have no idea!” He pulled me by the hand, helped me out of the car, and kissed me.

Looking around, my heart started racing and my eyes sparkled. Red rose petals were scattered all over the marina deck, and the path was lined with lit sailor lanterns that illuminated the entire way to the yacht, which was also covered in petals and surrounded by floating red heart–shaped balloons.

As we boarded the vessel, Henry introduced me to the crew and then pulled me to the bow, where a sort of lounge had been set up with a fluffy white blanket, several red heart–shaped pillows each displaying the word “love” in different languages, more petals, wine on ice, and a wicker basket that I later discovered contained a cheese and cold cuts board along with some fruits.

“I want to watch the sunrise here with you, but first, I want to slowly take off that beautiful dress of yours in the bedroon Henry whispered in my ear while embracing me by the waist.

I was completely enchanted by everything he had done before, but this time he outdid himself. We returned to the yacht’s stern and entered through the door leading to the cabins. The entire path was covered with rose petals and mini heart balloons hanging everywhere.

When we reached the bedroom, the ceiling was full of red roses hanging by their stems and fairy lights, as if there was a rose
