Henry’s POV

Samantha looked so stunning, so radiant that I couldn’t see anyone else, only her in front of me. I could barely hear what the priest and the justice of the peace were saying because I couldn’t take my eyes off her

I had gotten involved in organizing the wedding ceremony to include her grandmother walking in with the rings, and I hit the nail right on the head. My bride’s emotion was something worth seeing. I knew how important her grandmother is to her, and i knew they have a very special bond. Since we were using her grandparents‘ rings, nothing could be more perfect than having her grandmother deliver the rings to us at the altar. And it was truly beautiful.

When the priest declared us married and said I could kiss the bride, I smiled triumphantly, turned to my wife, and pulled her by the waist, covering her mouth with mine in a kiss full of love.

After the wedding ceremony, we went to the reception set up on the lawn of Hebe’s beach frouse. There were many people there, and it was really tiring to greet and take photos with everyone. But everything was so beautiful and elegant. There were large round tables scattered across the lawn, surrounded by wooden armchairs. The tables were covered with white tablecloths, and in the center was an arrangement of the same flowers from the ceremony. There was also a stage with a dance floor where Samantha and I danced the first song and then danced with our relatives.

After some time at the party, I pulled Sam aside; I wanted to be alone with her.

“My goddess,” I said, kissing her neck. “I’m dying to take off your dress!” Samantha burst out laughing.

“Are you trying to get me to leave our wedding reception?” Samantha teased.

“To be honest, yes, I am,” I continued kissing her neck, trying to convince her.

“Why did you take so long?” Samantha asked seriously, and I stopped kissing her to look at her.

“I think I heard wrong,” I said, somewhat confused.

“My handsome, I would have gone on our honeymoon right after the ceremony ended. I’m dying of curiosity to see the surprise you prepared for me. I just need to throw the bouquet,” Samantha had expectation in her eyes.

“What surprise?” I asked very seriously and saw her expression drop.

“Are you trying to tell me that you, the king of cheesy romance, didn’t prepare anything special for our wedding night?” Samantha stepped back and put her hands on her hips.

“No!” I kept a serious face looking at her. “Should I have prepared something?”

“You know what, Henry, I’m not leaving the party now, I’m going to stay here until dawn,” Samantha stormed off, and I smiled.

This woman was headstrong. I watched her walking away from me and started laughing. My wedding was off to an entertaining start. When she was roughly halfway through the party, I caught up with her and grabbed her arm. She glared at me, and I laughed, bent down, and hoisted her onto my shoulders like a caveman, walking through the guests who enjoyed the playful moment and burst out laughing.

Samantha pounded her closed fists against my back, but I didn’t let her go, keeping her over my shoulder while holding her legs against my chest.

“Henry, put me down,” she said angrily, and I smiled.

“I’won’t put you down. We’re going on our honeymoon now,” I replied, trying to sound stern.

“Henry, I have to throw the bouquet… Henry… let me go…” Samantha complained.

“Where’s the bouquet?” I turned toward Hebe and Melissa and asked.

In less than half a minute, Melissa brought the bouquet and handed it to Samantha, then turned around and shouted.

“Henry, put me down so I can throw it,” Samantha asked once mor

“I’m not putting you down. Come on, throw that bouquet, or we’re taking it on our honeymoon,” I replied. Samantha thought for a moment and then took a deep breath.
