Flavian’s POV

Nothing would ruin my day. I had a perfect night with my little one What a woman! Everything about her was perfect, every curve of her body, every little moan she made, every touch. She surprised me in every way.

But she was still shy and embarrassed about many things, even after everything we shared last night. That morning when she saw the mark of her virginity on the sheet, she turned so red it seemed like all the blood in her body had rushed to her face. She only calmed down after I pulled her onto my lap and covered her with kisses, telling her how special it was to be the first man in her life, and it truly was if it were up to me, I would be the only one. She was a rare treasure that I wasn’t willing to share with

anyone.

On my way to the police station, I stopped at a flower shop and had lowers delivered to her. I wanted her to know how special she was and how wonderful and perfect last night had been.

I arrived at work smiling like an idiot, saying good morning even to the doors. Bonfim quickly noticed my enthusiasm and came to my office.

“Looks like you slept well last night,” Bonfim said, sitting across from me.

“To be honest, Chief, I barely slept at all,” I grinned from ear to ear

“And that’s why you’re smiling so much?”

“I’m smiling thanks to my little one who is spectacular! The most beautiful, most incredible, and most adorable woman in the

world.”

“Well, well, my young colleague is in love!”

“Ah, Chief, I think it’s more than that. This little one has turned my world upside down!”

“That’s wonderful!”

“It is. But let’s get to work because I want to leave early today, and still have to attend a hearing at the courthouse.”

Soon after, I received a message from my little one thanking me for the flowers and telling me how special the night had been for her too. That made me happy. It was good to know that I had done everything right and made her first time something good. Although her moans had already made that clear to me last night and this morning.

The day was passing quickly; with the workload I had at the specialized police unit, I didn’t notice time flying by, but I still missed my little one and couldn’t wait to lose myself in her arms again.

But since nothing can be perfect, my cell phone started ringing and it was my mother. By this point, my family already knew tha I had moved. So I took a deep breath, preparing myself for Mrs. Moreno Moreno’s dramatic performance.

“Mom. How are you?” I answered the phone calmly, even knowing my peace was about to be disturbed.

“Ungrateful son.” My mother sniffled as she complained. “How could you dare to move away from your family? And without even telling us.”

“Mom, I left a letter for you at my old building, explaining that I didn’t have time to say goodbye. Everything happened very quickly.”

“Are you sure, Flavian? Or did you just run away from us?” My mother’s voice was tearful, but I knew exactly what she wanted. She was trying to manipulate me into coming back with my tail between my legs.

“Mom, it was time for me to leave Bellwood. The opportunity came up, an offer I couldn’t refuse, I couldn’t let it pass.”

“Son, why do you insist on this profession that keeps me up at night? You don’t need this, Flavian, we have very successful businesses.”

My mother simply hung up the phone without saying goodbye. She and my father were a perfect couple – proud, impersonal, even cold – and they loved meddling in their children’s lives.

A little while later, my cell phone rang again. I looked at the screen and smiled.

“Lexie, don’t tell me you’re calling to complain because I moved without saying goodbye?” I joked, knowing my sister would never do that.

“Oh, little brother, you should know me better than that. I called to congratulate you and warn you not to fall for our mother’s sweet talk. You know what she’s like.”

“Were you eavesdropping at the door again, Lisa?”

“Of course!” She laughed loudly. “So, when are you going to invite me to visit?”

“Whenever you want, sis. You’re more than welcome.”

“I’ll come as soon as our parents calm down. Dad is furious. He’s going to try to make you come back.”

“I figured as much. But he won’t succeed. And how are you?”

“Terrible! Now that the problematic son has moved far away, they have plenty of time to get on my case. Your mother has now decided to find me a husband. Can you believe that?”
