Manuela’s POV

Coffee with the girls was very lively, and although they nearly killed me with embarrassment with all their questions, it was a lot of fun.

I was on cloud nine with my detective. He sent me flowers! It was the first time in my life I had ever received flowers. In fact, he has been the first time for many things in my life. And only beautiful things. It was also the first time someone brought me coffee in bed. He was spoiling me so much. I wanted to do something to please him.

My detective was on my mind while my phone was vibrating on the desk, but I didn’t recognize the number, so I just answered formally. It was the dealership letting me know I could pick up my car the next day. This was great news – I would have more mobility and independence, and Flavian wouldn’t worry so much.

Ah, Flavian. This man turned my head and my heart upside down. Handsome, attentive, sexy, he made my knees weak and my heart race. I was thinking about surprising my detective, doing something small to repay how gentle and attentive he had been with me. An idea Melissa gave me kept hammering in my mind. Is she a bit crazy? She’s definitely a bit crazy, but she gives the best ideas.

Torganized everything and made sure Flavian wouldn’t pick me up from work that day, saying Melissa

would drop me off at his apartment. Since he had given me a copy of his key that morning, I wouldn’t have any trouble getting in. I told Catherine my idea, and she let me leave a bit early so I would have time to prepare everything before he arrived.

As planned, I arrived at the apartment before Flavian. I had planned a fondue night, bought lots of things, prepared the fondue, and set up the coffee table in the living room so we could eat together on the couch. Instead of lighting candles, I used the apartment’s lamps, creating a dim atmosphere, and went to take a

shower.

After the shower, I put on the lingerie I bought at the mall – a black lace bra and panty set with garters and stockings, covered with a sheer black negligee with sleeves, and wore the shoes from the night before. I did light makeup and left my hair down. I gathered all my little courage, boosted by a shot of whiskey – my mentor’s suggestion to calm my nerves to wear this outfit.

I thought I had planned everything perfectly, then I realized I hadn’t thought of everything. What if he came home with a friend? Damn, what should I do?

“There’s only one way – I’ll call my mentor,” I said to myself and grabbed the phone.

Melissa answered on the first ring.

“Hey, Little Key. What went wrong with your surprise?”

“Mel, I need help. And it has to be quick. I’ve got everything set up, but what if Flavian brings a friend home? Mel, I’m in my underwear in the middle of the living room.”

“Just underwear, Little Key? What’s this all about?!”

“No, you crazy girl. Underwear, bra, negligee, stockings and shoes.”

“Oh right, the shoes made all the difference.” Melissa laughed, amused by my predicament. “Fred, call Flavian and ask what he’s doing and who he’s with.”

“Mel, is Fred listening to our conversation? Oh, how embarrassing!”

“Relax, Little Key. Hold on.” Melissa listened to what Fred said and then came back to me. “Little Key, he’s parking in the garage and he’s alone.”

“Oh, thank you, Mel! Just one more thing, do you think should stand by the door or sit on the couch?”

“My God, Little Key, are you a robot vacuum cleaner to just stand still in a corner? No girl, strike a sexy pose on that couch.”

“What pose?”

“I’ll send you a photo and you copy it. But be quick, because he must be coming up already.”

“Thank you, master!” Melissa laughed and we said goodbye.

The photo she sent arrived shortly after. I actually liked it. I sat on the edge of the couch facing the door, with my body leaning against the armrest, letting my hair spread out, placing my right hand under my head and the left one on my stomach, leaving the negligee falling open, and crossed my legs. Soon I heard the key in the door.

My detective walked in and the first thing he saw was me on the couch. His eyes sparkled and he gave me a satisfied smile that assured me I had gotten it right so far.

“Little one, you’re a vision of paradise!” Flavian walked towards me and before touching me, he observed me as if admiring a work of art. “Wow, what did I do so good to deserve this?”

I pulled him by his tie, and he leaned down to kiss me. He quickly grabbed my waist and effortlessly sat me on his lap while devouring my mouth in an intense kiss full of promises, until we needed to pause for breath.

“Baby, what a delightful surprise!” He said, touching my face with his fingertips.

“Did you like it? I wanted to do something special for you today.” I said, gaining confidence from his

reaction.

“I loved it! You’re already special, my little one, and all this was surprising. But what I liked most, without a doubt, was finding you waiting for me in lingerie and these heels.”

“Ah, the heels. Someone promised to put them to use yesterday but didn’t keep that promise.” Flavian laughed.

“But today they won’t escape me.‘

“How was your day?”
