Flavian’s POV
After the judge scheduled that blessed hearing, things seemed to get much worse. Sabrina went out of control, and my father started pressuring me to go to Bellwood every week, which was impossible.
The game with the guys, instead of being a distraction, had turned into a wall of lamentations. I was complaining about my situation with my father and Sabrina, Rick was whining about Tess who had traveled to take care of her father, and Henry was complaining about the hell he was going through because of his own father. Only Alexander and Fred had no complaints. And Patrick, he was strangely quiet.
Melissa told me that Manu had gone home early because she had a headache. I thought it would be better to go home and see if she was okay, but when I got there, she was already sleeping. I did not want to wake her, so I tried not to move the bed and did not hug her to avoid disturbing her. But I could not sleep, and to my misfortune, my phone rang. And I did not even need to look to know it was Sabrina.
I went to the living room to answer, and she was hysterical, making a million threats. I decided to meet her right away because she would not stop calling and tormenting me. She was at a bar, a noisy place with loud music and lots of people. One of those expensive trendy places that in the end is just a bar. I spotted her sitting with a group at a table near the stage. I sat at a more distant table and texted her, telling her if she wanted to talk to me, she had to sit at my table.
"Husband!" Sabrina said as she approached with two little friends who seemed as unbearable as she was. Sabrina appeared to be somewhat drunk, and I knew well that when she drank, she talked too much and showed who she really was.
"I see you bought the wig," I said deliberately just to embarrass her in front of her friends. "Did you tell your friends about your lice?"
"Did you tell your nymphet about your wife?" She responded with another provocation.
"What do you want? Why the hell, Sabrina, are you calling me in the middle of the night?" I was not in the mood and had lost my politeness in trying to avoid cursing.
"That is no way to talk to your wife. Come on, girls, sit down." She invited the two girls to sit, and that irritated me. I did not want two more unbearable people around me.
"They are not sitting anywhere! Your two little friends can turn around and get away from me, or I will make them run in a not-so-friendly way. And I will still rip that wig off your head here, in front of everyone." It took no more than that for the two women to make a face and turn their backs, walking back the way they came.
