Chapter 35 

Angelina was focused on watching TV, and Chester sat beside her, staring blankly. 

“I just saw that cat.” 

“Huh?” 

“The white one.” 

“Oh?” 

Chester cleared his throat. “I gave it a sausage. 

“I gave it one too.” 

“You went out this afternoon?” 

“I went for a walk, and I saw it. I gave it a sausage before coming upstairs to sleep.” 

Chester said nothing. 

‘Did it lie on the ground and show its belly to you?” Angelina asked. 

Chester nodded. “How did you know?” 

“The cat has learned some tricks for food and drinks.” 

“I’m back, guys!” Isadora’s voice rang out. 

“Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Whitmore,” greeted Megan and Rosalind. They were visiting for the first time, so they brought some things. 

“Oh, you guys didn’t have to bring anything! Don’t do it next time!” uttered Emily. 

“It’s nothing, Mrs. Whitmore.” 

“Mom, Dad, this is Megan and Rosalind.” 

“Hello.” 

“Come, have a seat.” 

“Let’s eat.” 

Gerald made tea, and Emily prepared the dishes. 

Rosalind and Megan sat on the couch. Seeing them, Angelina felt a little at a loss. 

“Hello, Megan, Rosalind.” 

“Hello, Chester,” Rosalind greeted, lowering her head. She was blushing. 

“Have some snacks.“< 

“Come over here and eat.” 

Angelina was already full. Emily had prepared some food for her in advance, so she wasn’t hungry. But since she was pulled to the table, she ate a few bites of the dishes. 

Angelina sat on Chester’s left side, and Rosalind sat on his right. 

“What do you want to eat? Shrimp?” Chester asked softly. 

Although they were under the same roof, Angelina had mostly been sleeping these past few days. She usually ate before he came back, so they hadn’t had many chances to sit at the table together. 

Rosalind’s gaze remained fixed on Chester, watching his actions. She heard the gentle tone he used with Angelina, and her heart melted. 

Megan and Isadora were chatting, but Rosalind’s eyes never left Chester. 

“Which family are you from? You’re beautiful. Are you married?” Florence couldn’t help but compliment Rosalind. 

“No.” Rosalind lowered her head, feeling a little embarrassed. 

“If there’s someone suitable, I’ll introduce him to you. What kind of person do you like?”
