Hearing Chester’s words, Louis became emotional and was ready to lunge at him. “What did you just say? What did you just tell Angie? I’m giving her those gifts because I want to! Who are you to judge me?” 

“Calm down and don’t be reckless. Let’s take this outside and talk it over.” Joshua pulled him 

back. 

Chester’s kick was brutal, and Louis frowned in pain just after taking a few steps. 

Meanwhile, Joshua was playing the peacemaker. “Louis, we’re all friends here.” 

“Yeah, right. You treat him like one and me like trash!” Louis shot back. 

“Listen to me, alright? Let’s head out first. We’ll discuss everything once we’re outside,” said Joshua. 

“Louis… you don’t have to do anything for me anymore. Thank you,” said Angelina. 

“Let me go, Joshua! Angie…” 

Joshua dragged the injured Louis out of the ward, 

Chester’s expression was terrifyingly dark. “Joshua, what do you think you’re doing?” 

“I’m just doing you a favor by getting him out of here. Let’s catch up another time… Louis, 

let’s talk later.” 

After seeing Louis off, Joshua returned to the corridor and waited for Chester to leave the ward, 

What a mess! Today’s software launch was supposed to be a joyous occasion for them, and Alexander was waiting to celebrate with them. Who knew such drama would unfold? 

Checking the time, Joshua was unsure of when Chester would come out. He opened the group 

chat. 

Alexander had sent a question mark. 

Joshua: “Hang tight. Louis showed up.” 

Ryan: “What’s he doing there again?‘ 

Joshua: “What do you think?” 

Ryan: “Stealing Chester’s girl?” 

Alexander: “As expected. We’ll wait, then.” 

Having targeted Chester’s wife so blatantly, Louis deserved the beating. If it were to happen to Alexander, he would probably have beaten Louis up for at least an hour to vent his frustration. 

Inside the hospital ward, Angelina sat alone on her bed. The atmosphere was icy with tension. The items Louis had brought were still lying there–his bank card and the designer bags. 

Everyone knew he wasn’t well–off since he came from an average family in Brookhaven. Yet he had offered Angelina everything he had. From money to love, he had given her his all. 

In the past, Chester might have felt a bit of sympathy for him. Yet he found it upsetting that Louis was showing affection for Angelina this way. “I left you alone here, and you’re having an affair with Louis?” 

“I feel sorry for him. Don’t hit him out of the blue when you see him again.” 

“You were alone with him. What were you two doing?” 

“Didn’t you see it for yourself when you came in?”
